Highly recommend- very dependable!
I'm new to composting and was looking for a bag that would fit into an 11 gallon trash can that I use for composting. This is perfect- it lasted and didn't disintegrate on me. The bag also fit in my 11 gallon trash can perfectly. Highly recommend, and I like the ethos of the company as an added benefit.
FAQs
How long does it take for these compostable bags to decompose?
Stout EcoSafe-6400 bags typically begin to decompose within 10 to 45 days. They are designed to fully biodegrade in less than six months when processed in a professional commercial composting facility.
Are these bags suitable for home composting bins?
These bags are specifically engineered to meet ASTM D6400 standards for industrial and commercial composting. While they are biodegradable, they require the higher heat levels of professional facilities to break down effectively within the specified timeframe.

The 0.85 mil measurement refers to the thickness of the bag material. This gauge is considered heavy-duty for compostable liners, providing enough durability to handle wet organic waste without the bag thinning or breaking.
Are these Stout bags authentic imports available in India?
