  I'm 52, post-menopausal, with dry, increasingly sensitive skin, and I'll be honest - I almost never use bar soap on my face. Most bar cleansers leave my skin feeling tight, dry, or stripped. Because of that, I typically stick with liquid cleansers, including the Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil and the Gentle Cleansing Foam, which are already staples in my routine.This Sulwhasoo Signature Ginseng Facial Soap completely surprised me.First, the quality is immediately noticeable. Like many Sulwhasoo products, it has that refined, elegant feel that the brand is known for. The bar itself feels dense and luxurious, and it creates a creamy, cushiony lather that feels more like a soft cleansing cream than a traditional soap.What impressed me most is how gentle and balanced the cleanse is.   Luxury soap for a luxurious experience

  I ordered this Sulwhasoo Signature Ginseng Facial Soap, who is in her early 20s and has oily skin. She loves it!When I asked her what she liked about the soap, she said, "It's drying." This is not a good thing for most people, but for her, that was meant as praise. She liked that her skin didn't feel oily after washing with this soap; there was no residue or "filmy" feeling left on her face. But I think what she actually means by "drying" was that her face felt very clean. When I asked her more about the "dry" feeling, she stated that her skin did not feel tight, squeaky, or like it was stripped. It just felt like the oil was gone.This soap does have fragrance, so if you are sensitive to fragrance or have skin conditions like rosacea (which I have), I would not advise using this product. However, for my daughter, this was not a problem at all. She loved the scent; it reminded me of what I think of as spa scent. Nice spas I have been to all have a similar, kind of herbal scent, and that is what this soap smells like to me.Two bars are included, and they are thick. They will last quite a while. This is a premium brand, so this soap has a premium price, but it's a wonderful way to treat yourself or someone you love.

  Luxurious face soap that cleans leaving my skin soft and smooth.

  I have always used gel or cream face cleanser, never facial soap bars because in the past I when I have tried soap bars (not specifically meant for the face), it has dried out my already dry and sensitive skin. I love everything that is ginseng because of all its health benefits. This ginseng face bar soap is exceptional. It has a mild scent and lathers up really well, leaves my face feeling clean and smooth with drying it out. A little goes a long way. It packs really well for travel, and I absolutely am so impressed with this fantastic skincare line from Korea. I am sold on this face bar soap, so I am excited to try their other skincare products.

  Good for Combo, Sensitive Skin, Perfect for Travel or Gym Girls

  I like this soap a lot. This creates a creamy, luxe lather that feels far nicer than most bar cleansers, and the comforting, ginseng spa scent is something I look forward to when I land after long haul flights. I cut each bar in half so I can carry this in my carry on, which leaves more room in my bag for serums and my favorite cream. My combo skin always dries out on planes, and this never irritates it. I have to admit, this is more drying than the tube based cleanser I use at home, but that's a travel tradeoff I accept. I really want to max the space I have in my carry-on for moisturizers, and I use a heavier balm moisturizer on the flight and also when I land after using this soap. The packaging has a beautiful clean aesthetic, and each bar of soap is fully sealed in its own paper bag wrap. Everything is well done while still being eco friendly, and the cardboard box won't outlast me. This isn't my daily cleanser when I'm home, but it's unbeatable for a luxe, comforting, travel routines. I think this would also be good for anyone who needs to wash their face away from home (gym girls, I feel you), and still wants to be able to travel light as long as your skin isn't super dry.
