Description
The SunGrow Betta Feeding Ring is an essential aquarium accessory designed to streamline fish feeding and maintain optimal tank cleanliness. Measuring three inches, this lightweight, round floating feeder corrals floating flakes, pellets, and other specialty foods in one designated spot on the water's surface.
By containing the food, it effectively prevents water turbulence from washing nutrients into your filtration system or pump, saving you money on wasted food and preventing the organic decay that ruins water quality. Ideal for small species like Bettas, Guppies, Goldfish, and Cichlids, this floating ring naturally adjusts to fluctuating water levels via a swiveling rod mechanism.
It provides a practical solution for community tanks by allowing hobbyists to set up dedicated feeding zones, ensuring that shy or timid fish can eat peacefully without being outcompeted by more aggressive tank mates. It also safeguards live floating aquatic plants from being submerged by filter outputs.
How to use
- Determine the best position for your floating fish food feeder.
- Clear and dry the aquarium glass thoroughly to ensure a secure stick.
- Attach the suction cup slightly above the water line.
- Drop your floating flakes or pellets directly into the middle of the ring.
- For large or community tanks with aggressive fish, place multiple rings at opposite ends to separate feeding zones.

FAQs
Do fish feeding rings work?
Yes, fish feeding rings are highly effective at containing floating food in a single spot. This prevents the aquarium filter current from scattering flakes across the tank, reducing waste and keeping the water cleaner.
Do bettas need a feeding ring?
While not strictly mandatory, a feeding ring is highly beneficial for Bettas. It creates a consistent feeding station that prevents their food from getting swept away by filter currents, making it much easier for them to surface and eat.
Can this ring be used in a tank with live floating plants?
Yes, this feeding ring is excellent for planted tanks. It keeps floating plants like duckweed or frogbit from encroaching on the feeding zone, ensuring your fish always have an open surface area to access their food.
Is this SunGrow feeding ring an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic SunGrow product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources genuine international pet care accessories to ensure Indian hobbyists receive premium quality aquarium supplies.
