FAQs
Do child car seats damage leather seats?
Yes, heavy child car seats and the constant friction from children's shoes can cause permanent indentations, scuffs, and tears on original leather upholstery. Using a heavy-duty car seat back protector like this one shields the delicate leather surfaces from scratches, pressure marks, and ground-in dirt.
What is the best seat protector for a car seat?
The best seat protector is one that offers a combination of waterproofing, durable multi-layer materials, and a secure fitment system that prevents slipping. A premium polyurethane leather mat with a rigid core offers the ideal balance of rugged protection against mud and a sleek, non-sagging appearance.
Is it worth putting seat covers on leather seats?
Absolutely, especially if you have children or pets. Adding a dedicated kick mat preserves the pristine condition of your original factory leather, preventing costly restoration work and protecting your vehicle's resale value from inevitable scuffs and spills.
