FAQs
Are you looking for installation instructions, or do you need to find the correct Torx screwdriver sizes required for replacing your PS4 Pro disc drive?
Replacing the drive requires a TR8 Torx security screwdriver to open the console casing and a standard Phillips screwdriver for internal screws. Detailed step-by-step video tutorials online are highly recommended, as you must swap your original drive board into the new unit.
Does this replacement optical drive include the logic drive board?
No, this unit does not include a pre-paired drive board. Due to console motherboard locking security, you must transfer the original drive board from your old broken drive into this replacement unit to ensure games will launch.
Is this drive compatible with the standard PlayStation 4 Slim or original fat models?
No, this specific optical drive is manufactured exclusively for the PlayStation 4 Pro console. It supports models CUH-7000, CUH-7015A, and CUH-7015B, and will not fit inside Slim or standard console chassis.
