Product details

The Tapsi Double-Sided Adhesive Pads provide a premium, heavy-duty solution for mounting automotive accessories securely to your vehicle's dashboard or windshield. Engineered specifically to withstand the harsh, intense heat that builds up inside a parked vehicle, this high-bond replacement tape uses an advanced acrylic foam core that resists melting, slipping, and degradation over time.

It is an ideal product for vehicle owners who need a permanent, vibration-proof mounting solution for front or rear dash cams, GPS devices, and automated toll tags. The package provides total versatility with two distinct pre-cut shapes to accommodate different bracket profiles.

This complete mounting kit also features specialized preparation wipes infused with an adhesion promoter, which dramatically enhances the initial and long-term bond strength on both smooth glass and textured plastic surfaces. Perfect for Indian drivers dealing with extreme summer heat, these pads ensure your vital road-recording devices stay firmly locked in place during every journey.

  1. Clean the windshield or dashboard thoroughly using rubbing alcohol to remove grease or dust.
  2. Wipe the mounting surface with the included adhesion promoter to maximize bond strength, allowing it to dry.
  3. Peel the protective backing from one side of the pad, apply it firmly to your camera mount, and then press the entire assembly against the prepared vehicle surface for 30 seconds.
  4. Allow the adhesive to cure fully for 24 hours before attaching the heavy camera unit.

High-bond acrylic foam core, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive, polyethylene release liner.

FAQs

Which double-sided tape is best for a car dashboard?

High-bond acrylic foam tapes, like the ones featured in this Tapsi kit, are best for car dashboards. They are specifically engineered to withstand extreme interior vehicle heat and adhere securely to both smooth glass and textured plastics.

What is the best adhesive for mounting dashcam?

A heat-resistant, double-sided acrylic foam adhesive pad is ideal for mounting a dashcam. It provides a permanent, vibration-proof hold that prevents the camera from falling when exposed to direct sunlight on the windshield.

Can these adhesive pads be cut to a specific size?

Yes, these pre-cut square and rectangular pads can easily be trimmed with household scissors or a utility knife to match the exact dimensions of smaller or uniquely shaped brackets.

Are these authentic Tapsi adhesive pads available in India?

Yes, these are authentic USA-imported Tapsi adhesive pads. Dropy sources these automotive kits directly from authorized suppliers in the United States to ensure genuine quality for Indian customers.

How long should I wait after application before attaching the dash cam?

It is highly recommended to wait at least 24 hours after pressing the pad onto your windshield or dashboard. This allows the high-bond adhesive to fully cure and achieve maximum holding strength.
