FAQs
How to fix a corroded Game Boy?
To fix a corroded Game Boy, remove the old batteries and carefully clean the contacts using a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar or isopropyl alcohol to neutralize the acid. Once the corrosion is dissolved, scrape away any stubborn residue, wipe the contacts dry, and snap on a secure replacement battery cover to protect the compartment.
Are you looking for a full replacement shell or just the battery door?
This specific product includes only the single replacement clear purple battery door cover lid. It is ideal for gamers who already have a functional console housing but need to replace a lost, cracked, or loose original battery back door.
Does this cover fit the Game Boy Advance or original Game Boy models?
No, this battery cover is custom-molded exclusively for the Gameboy Color (GBC) handheld system. Because battery compartment dimensions and locking mechanisms vary significantly between retro Nintendo generations, it will not fit the Game Boy Advance (GBA) or the original Game Boy (DMG) systems.
Is this Tekmihat replacement part an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, this genuine Tekmihat gaming accessory is sourced directly from trusted suppliers in the USA and imported to India. Dropy ensures that Indian retro gaming collectors receive authentic, high-grade replacement parts that match the strict quality standards of international marketplaces.
Will the clear purple color perfectly match my vintage Nintendo console?
This cover features a clear purple tint designed to match original atomic purple or grape shells closely. However, please note that because vintage systems experience minor plastic fading and aging over decades, slight color variations can occur between older console bodies and brand-new replacement plastics.
