Description
Capture breathtaking imagery and professional videos in challenging lighting environments with the Tiffen 52mm Variable Neutral Density Filter. Designed for photographers and videographers who demand creative versatility, this optical glass filter delivers continuous light reduction ranging from 2 to 8 stops, equivalent to ND 0.6 through ND 2.4.
By limiting the amount of light entering your camera lens without altering scene coloration, it empowers you to utilize wide apertures like f/1.8 or f/2.8 under harsh sunlight for a stunning shallow depth of field. It also allows you to employ slow shutter speeds during daytime shoots to introduce cinematic motion blur into moving elements such as waterfalls, rivers, and clouds.
Crafted utilizing Tiffen's proprietary ColorCore technology, the filter integrates a durable black aluminum ring with a slim 9 millimeter profile and a wider outer optic design, minimizing the risk of vignetting when working with wide-angle focal lengths. Complete with a rotating ring for smooth adjustment, this authentic accessory is an essential addition to any camera kit for maintaining optimal exposure control on video and cine equipment.
How to use
- Screw the 52mm threaded filter securely onto the matching filter thread of your camera lens.
- Rotate the outer ring smoothly to adjust the desired neutral density level from 2 to 8 stops depending on your lighting requirements.
