FAQs
Do I need a padded car seat bag for an airplane?
Yes, a padded car seat bag is highly recommended for airplane travel. Luggage handlers and gate-check processes can subject your baby gear to rough impacts, scuffs, and dirt, making a cushioned layer essential for preventing structural damage.
Is it free to bring a carseat on a plane?
Most domestic and international airlines allow passengers to check a child's car seat or stroller at the gate or check-in counter free of charge. It is best to verify specific baggage policies directly with your chosen airline before your departure date.
How to protect a car seat when flying?
The most effective way to protect your car seat is by enclosing it in a dedicated, heavy-duty travel cover like the Tomule bag before handoff. Utilizing a thick nylon cover prevents fabric rips, grease stains, and exposure to moisture on the tarmac.
