  A very effective cleanser that is fun to use

  The Balanceful collection from Torriden is one of my favorites and I was excited to try their new Balanceful Control Pack Cleanser. It contains ingredients like glycerin, panthenol, centella asiatica, squalene, ceramide NP, and calamine. So far, I have only used this as a daily cleanser and I love the option to use it as a soothing, hydrating mask. This cleanser is unscented and the first thing that I noticed was the consistency. It has a fluffy whipped texture, it's not abrasive at all, and it quickly works itself into a thick, dense foam. My skin is literally squeaky clean afterwards and it does an effective job of exfoliating without stripping or drying out my skin. I have eczema and this cleanser is not irritating at all, and the small amount of redness that I did have on my cheek was actually diminished after using this product! This is a fun product to use, it's highly effective yet gentle on the skin.

  Another Great Torriden Item!

  I got this for my husband to try. I have used it, too. First of all, you can't go wrong with Torriden as a brand! They're a Korean company and make wonderful skincare items that are simple, sensitive skin/allergy-prone skin friendly, very effective, affordable, and that do what they say they will. We use several of their items in our daily routines and especially love the Dive In line cleansers. You truly cannot go wrong with their items! Anyway, onto this specific BALANCEFUL Control Pack Cleanser. First of all, this is vegan, has clean ingredients, has sustainable packaging, and it has clear instructions provided in English (and Korean). It has no added perfume or fragrances! The cleanser comes in a tub with a screw on lid. It also comes with a small spatula that is meant to be used to scoop out the product so you don't stick your fingers in there and introduce something gross to it. Back to ingredients-this has lots of good items in it that make it a great addition to a routine and also many that are meant to help calm irritation. These include 5 types of centella asiatica, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, squalane, ceramides, some fermented ingredients, and several fruit and natural extracts. Nothing on here sets off alarms for me but always check the list yourself to make your own decision for that. This cleanser can be used in two ways-as a regular cleanser or as a mask (they call it a "pack cleanser") that you apply to dry skin and leave on a bit longer in order to exfoliate (only for about 2 minutes) before you then moisten your face and use it as a cleanser. My husband likes this option a lot because he says it helps with removing built up gunk in the pores on his nose. Since you only need to leave it on for a few minutes, it is easier for him to remember to use this and to commit to using it. This is a win since he isn't the sort to remember to use any skin routine beyond cleanser and a moisturizer…and the moisturizer took me ages to get him into the habit of using so he'd at least get some spf on his face! 🙄 The other option, and this is the one I use, is to just use it as a cleanser. You apply a small amount to a damp face, massage it into a lather and then you rinse off. I prefer this because I think leaving it on a dry face would potentially bother my skin since it has "cooling" properties to it from something minty. As a cleanser and a mask, it works equally well for both of us. It foams well enough to cleanse and removes dirt, oil, makeup residue, etc. it has a thicker cream (but with an oilier texture) feel that is rich and feels moisturizing on. It looks a little gross but I don't mind that since it's just getting washed off! It has little red bits in it that aren't hard or sharp, which dissolve when used and that don't leave reside behind either. I assume they're an active ingredient. Since this is meant to exfoliate skin, I do not use it every single day because my skin can be sensitive to that. I use it just 2-3 times a week and I alternate with another Torriden cleanser between. I really recommend this as an addition to a routine. It works for my dry and sensitive skin equally as well as my husband's combination skin!

  A gentle, yet effective means to control excess oil and blackheads

  This Korean arrival contains Asia Centella, an herb that is well tolerated even to those with dry, sensitive skins like the writer. It also contains microbeads to provide mechanical exfoliation required in eliminating dead skin cells and excess sebum deposits and buildups, making it an excellent choice especially for blackhead removals and in controlling oily skin. Hence, the balance in "balanceful". Really good stuff, lathers well, smells great, and it works great overall. Idk, it seems like another banger from S. Korea. 5/5 stars, highly recommended.

  Another Excellent Torriden Product

  At 52, post-menopausal, with mature dry skin, I've been using Torriden products for years, so I was excited to try this cleanser. They've earned a lot of trust from me as a brand because their formulas are consistently thoughtful, modern, and focused on real skin needs. Their Dive-In Watery Sun Serum is still one of the best SPFs I have ever used, so it was no surprise that I ended up loving this too. What I love most is that this cleanser feels effective without being harsh. Many cleansers do one of two things: either they leave residue behind, or they over-cleanse and leave the skin tight. This strikes a much better balance. My skin feels clean, fresh, and comfortable after using it. It removes daily buildup, sunscreen, and excess oil well, but without that stripped feeling mature or dry skin really does not need. The 2-in-1 concept is also smart. Used as a regular cleanser, it works well for everyday washing. Used as a short wash-off mask, it gives a little extra treatment feel and deeper clean without becoming aggressive. The ingredient profile makes sense for sensitive or easily stressed skin. Cica is known for calming support, LHA offers gentler exfoliating benefits than stronger acids, and squalane helps keep the formula from feeling overly drying. That combination makes it feel balanced rather than harsh. For mature skin, gentle exfoliation can be very helpful because it improves dullness and texture, but it needs to be done without compromising the barrier. This product understands that. Who is this best for? Sensitive skin, combination skin, mature skin, people wanting a gentle exfoliating cleanser, or anyone who likes multitasking products that can cleanse and act as a quick mask. Who may not love it? If you prefer a rich creamy non-foaming cleanser only, this may feel more treatment-focused. Very dry skin types may still want a richer cleanser on some days.
