FAQs
What is a thermal cut-off fuse?
A thermal cut-off fuse is a non-resettable safety device that uses a single-use fusible link to disconnect electrical circuits when a specific temperature limit is exceeded. It protects appliances from fire hazards caused by severe overheating.
How do thermal fuses work?
Thermal fuses contain a heat-sensitive material inside a metal casing. When the surrounding temperature reaches the rated threshold, the internal link melts permanently, breaking the electrical path and shutting down the device.
Can a thermal fuse be reset after it triggers?
No, thermal fuses are single-use devices. Once they are triggered and open the circuit, they cannot be reset and must be replaced with a new fuse matching the exact temperature and electrical specifications.
Are these uxcell thermal fuses authentic and imported from the USA?
Yes, this product is sourced directly from the United States to ensure genuine manufacturer quality and reliable performance for your electrical repair needs.
What appliances use a 100 degree Celsius thermal fuse?
A 100 degree Celsius thermal fuse is commonly found in personal care appliances like hair dryers and curling irons, as well as various small heating devices and motor assemblies requiring precise thermal protection.
