    Absolutely worth it.

This is the best product I have tried for my dogs itching. This summer has been horrible for big bites. My dog was biting her back and leaving now fur. I used this spray and she completely stopped. Tea tree oil is safe in small quantities. As with anything if your dog is allergic don't use it, but this product is not a high enough dose to do harm. I'd you use it properly. I put this on her a couple of times a day and it has been a lifesaver. No more itching and biting. I will be buying again.

BEST THING I HAVE EVER GIVEN MY DOG!

I've NEVER wrote a review on any item I have ever bought on here but I was SO impressed with this item I just had to share! I have a 14 year old raterrier and she developed a new ANNOYING habit of chewing on herself and constant licking. She kept me up all hours of the night and her skin just looked AWFUL and raw. I researched a LOT about it and felt like all hope was lost unless I where to spend thousands on shots, creams, etc. I tried every home remedy I could think of! I tried cocoa butter, vaseline, NOTHING worked and she would lick it right off (gross!). So I found the site for this product in the midst of one of my searches and it was pretty pricey so of course I came to Dropy and found it for half the price. It shipped within days (along with some other items I purchased) and I started using it right away. She was VERY calm when I sprayed it on her, didn't flinch or anything and within minutes she tried licking once then stopped. Now, it is 3 days later and she (and I) are sleeping like a baby. If I see her try and itch I just spray it and it stops for a good 4-6 hours and of course I spray her before she goes to bed. Her skin looks SO much better, her hair is growing back, and she's not so mean and crabby anymore. YAY FOR SLEEP AND A HAPPY DOG!TO ALL OF YOU GIVING ONE STAR- Obviously this product was not meant for your animal and there is something else wrong with him/her. This stuff is VERY safe and soothing. I hope you find out what is wrong with your animals but I can 100% gaurantee it is not the consumers fault. They MIGHT have had an allergic reaction but even that is a shot in the dark.I could not be any happier with this spray and my dog thanks you too! =)

    best hot spot relief

Maybe it's the winter blues, but my St. Bernard (Zelda) started a hot spot on her hind leg that seemed to "blow up" over night and covered the entire rear thigh portion. Through trial and error, here's what I did to treat this hot spot and others that "pop up" from nowhere:#1: Shave the hair away from the hot spot (you don't have to "bald" the area, but the skin does need to breathe)(home clippers do the trick---be sure to take apart and clean those clippers w/alcohol, then oil, when finished).#2: I use this product. It does seem to bring instant relief. It is strong smelling, but if it helps her get instant relief I will use it. It's better smelling than the #3 home remedy that I use. (P.S. You can spray the air w/the Odo Ban sold on this web site to freshen up the house when finished playing "voodoo" doctor on your dog).#3: Home remedy: In a pint size mason jar I mix 2 vials of golden seal, approximately 20-25 drops of tea tree oil and approximately 3 Tablespoons of Jojoba oil. Fill the rest of the way with water. Once mixed, I use 1/4 of the mixture (make it as close to room temp as possible)and soak the sore using a sterile gauze pad. After about 2 hours I will give the sore a spray with the Vet's Best Hot Spot (I use the spray about 3 times per day). I use the home remedy in the morning and before bed time. Cover the mason jar and store it in the refrigerator and microwave 1/4 of the mix for approx. 15-20 seconds (covered w/paper towel)when it's time to treat the sore.#4: I give a generic over the counter benadryl (25 mg. diphenhydramine hydrochloride) in the morning and at night.I could not afford a $300 vet bill (with their trial and error as to what is causing the hot spot, not to mention her trauma at going to the vet's) and thought I would try this first. The hot spot on the thigh had me worried until I tried all of this. As of today (after 1 week of treatment) the thigh is healed and has hair growing back (even after re-shaving the area after 3 days of treatment). I think the jojoba oil being packed w/vitamin E encourages the quick growth.I hope this helps give your pet (and you) relief.

Worked for us, but be vigilant!

My dog had an expanding hot spot on his tail. I trimmed away as much fur as I could and sprayed the area 3-5 times a day, basically whenever he looked like he was going to bite the area. After two days area began to heal, after four days it scabbed over with a yellow scab at the most irritated area and lesser irritated areas were less red. I can touch his tail now without causing pain and he seems to be ignoring the area - probably out of fear I will spray him! Scent is pleasant and not overbearing.Hot spots can be serious: before we trimmed the fur it looked like a single 1 inch circle, after trimming we saw it was several spots all around his tail. We cleaned area with warm water and dried it once a day in addition to using spray. Had improvement not been quick, a vet visit would have been on day 3.
