Description
Achieve optimal string action and instrument playability with the VGEBY Guitar Neck Shim. Crafted from solid hard maple wood, this precision-tapered spacer is designed to alter the pitch and angle of bolt-on guitar and bass necks when standard bridge adjustments are insufficient. Unlike makeshift plastic or cardboard spacers, a full-contact wood shim preserves your instrument's rich tone, enhances sustain, and transfers vibration seamlessly across the neck pocket.
Ideal for guitar players, custom builders, and repair technicians looking to fix high or low string action reliably. The tapered design evenly distributes bolt pressure to prevent stress cracks and warping, ensuring a secure and stable fit for your electric guitars and basses.
How to use
- Remove the strings and unscrew the bolt-on guitar or bass neck.
- Place the tapered maple wood shim inside the neck pocket with the desired angle orientation facing the correct direction.
- Reattach the neck, tighten the screws evenly, restring the instrument, and adjust the bridge action as needed.

Neck angle adjustment with sloped shim?
A sloped or tapered shim changes the pitch and angle of a bolt-on guitar neck, allowing you to lower or raise string action when bridge saddles have reached their limit.
What types of guitars are compatible with this neck shim?
This neck shim is designed to fit electric guitars and basses featuring standard bolt-on neck joints, such as Stratocaster and Telecaster style instruments.
