Product details

The Viltrox 15mm F1.7 E Mount Autofocus Lens is an ultra-wide prime lens engineered specifically for Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras. Providing a full-frame equivalent focal length of 22.5mm, this high-performance lens captures expansive 84.9-degree views, making it an excellent tool for landscape, architectural, street, and vlogging photography.

Designed for content creators and enthusiasts alike, its optical formula features twelve elements in ten groups, incorporating extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements to dramatically reduce chromatic aberrations and geometric distortion for sharp, edge-to-edge rendering. The exceptionally bright f/1.7 maximum aperture delivers outstanding low-light performance in dim indoor spaces and produces a beautifully smooth background bokeh that separates your subject seamlessly.

Equipped with a rapid, precise, and virtually silent STM stepping motor, it supports eye and face tracking autofocus modes to ensure fluid focus transitions during video recording and crisp freeze-frames for still images. Weighing approximately 180 grams, this compact and lightweight lens pairs perfectly with portable camera bodies, while its integrated USB-C port enables simple firmware updates to keep your gear completely future-proof.

  1. Align the mounting index mount on the lens with the corresponding mount index on your Sony E-mount camera body.
  2. Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.
  3. Ensure your camera is powered on to initiate electronic communication for autofocus and metadata tracking.
  4. Use the built-in USB-C port on the lens body for future firmware updates via a compatible computer.

Optical glass elements, electronic copper contact pins, polycarbonate composite exterior housing, metallic bayonet mount, and internal STM stepping motor assemblies.
