Product details

The Viltrox 28mm F4.5 FE is an ultra compact full frame pancake lens designed specifically for Sony E mount mirrorless cameras. Measuring a mere fifteen millimeters in thickness and weighing just sixty grams, this incredibly lightweight wide angle lens sits almost flush with your camera body, turning your setups into a highly portable, pocketable system. It is the perfect companion for street photographers, travel enthusiasts, and everyday content creators who value discretion and portability without sacrificing automated performance.

Equipped with an efficient Voice Coil Motor autofocus system, the lens ensures quick, precise, and silent focusing transitions for spontaneous snapshots. Structurally, the optical design features six elements arranged in six groups, which includes two Extra-low Dispersion lenses and two aspherical lenses. This combination effectively controls chromatic aberrations, minimizes ghosting, and reduces flare to deliver sharp image quality with vibrant color reproduction. An innovative integrated sliding lever design transforms into a physical built-in lens cap, ensuring the front glass remains fully protected against dust, scratches, and smudges during transit while eliminating the hassle of losing loose caps.

  1. Align the mounting index mark on the lens with the corresponding mark on your Sony E mount camera body.
  2. Rotate the lens clockwise until it securely clicks into place.
  3. Use the integrated side sliding lever to open the built-in protective cover.
  4. Power on your camera and utilize your camera body settings to select between automatic or manual focusing modes as desired.

Constructed with an optical assembly containing premium optical glass elements, an engineered composite exterior shell, metal bayonet mount, and electronic contacts for full camera body communication.
