  Azelaic Acid with spicules

  VT has combined Azelaic Acid, Cica and spicules to make a great comfortable serum to help treat redness and inflammation as well as help acne prone skin. Oh! Any hyperpigmentation! Azelaic Acid is great for treating dark spots.While I don't have acne, I have an autoimmune disease that causes me a lot of inflammation which results in skin that's very slow to heal and that gets hyperpigmentation from any knick and scratch. It's also causing me lots of little broken capillaries in my face now too. Azelaic Acid in addition to it helping curb acne causing bacteria, works as an anti-inflammatory. So while it won't cure the little spider veins I have it might help any associated redness and potentially help new ones from forming. It's worth a try I figure! And perhaps most importantly it another tool to add to my arsenal to help fade the dark spots I have on my face.Keep in mind this serum contain spicules which help the serum absorb and penetrate better/deeper. These spicules cause a bit of a tingling sensation. Any product with spicules does. But if you're new to Azelaic Acid you might want to use this every few days to gauge your reaction. Kind of like what's suggested when you start using retinol. You can also do the sandwich method where you use a hydrating moisturizer before applying the serum to create a little buffer. Eventually once you work up a tolerance you start applying it without that buffering step.The ingredients in this serum are all quality. There's no drying alcohol, fragrance or essential oils. It's a thin serum and isn't heavy or sticky to wear. I find it quite comfortable. I can't gauge how effective it is just yet since I've only just gotten it but Azeliac Acid is known to be really effective. In fact, it's an active that's offered as a prescription so there's science behind it.The price seems right for a quality serum from a well known and trusted brand

  Works with my other serums and feels great! Helps my hyperpigmentation!

  This is my first time using Azelaic Acid. I normally use Vitamin C, alpha-arbutin, and salicylic acid, and adding this serum didn't make my skin feel too layered or congested. It feels really great on the skin, adding a nice moisturizing feel. The consistency is great- light and absorbent, which is really helpful for masking the sliminess of the salicylic acid. I'm also grateful that the serum is fragrance-free as sometimes the strong scents merge with my face cream and sunscreen and an be quite unpleasant.My skin is quite prone to hyperpigmentation, and often I try different serums to see what works the best to even out my skin tone. After using the serum for a few weeks, I do feel like it's effective at minimizing the unevenness of my skin complexion. I had no problems with my skin adjusting to the serum, though I will say I'm fortunate enough to have skin that is not very sensitive to new products. $24 is a little steep for a serum, but VT is a very trusted brand so I do think it's worth investing in a good quality serum. Would recommend!

  Very effective, just start slowly for dry, normal and combo skin.

  For reference, I have combo skin (oily t-zone and dry chin/cheeks), with hormonal acne. I use tretinoin roughly 3-4 days per week to help with the hormonal acne on my, chin and jawline, this has caused me to have some dry patches in those areas. I do not have sensitive skin or eyes, as I can use direct acids and most fragrances without irritation. I also have some slight pitting from acne scaring. I prefer unscented or lightly scented products and light weight/gel textured products when possible.This Azelaic Acid Cica Exosome Ampoule was extremely effective, so much so I had to go from using it twice daily to one every other evening. This was very helpful with oil balancing and post acne marks, but a little on the harsh side for my skin. I think it was the combination of using this twice daily as well as using tretinoin every other evening that was too much. Once i decreased my usage to every other evening, the irritation stopped. So, just be aware that you may need to start slowly with this. I do not usually have any type of reaction to layer products, so that was a rare occurrence for me. I had to take a break for 1 week, while repairing my skin barrier. Once I repaired it and went to every other evening, the results continued but the irritation did not. The listing claims this is moisturizing, but I do not think it was moisturizing. Actually, it was a bit on the drying side for me, on the drier areas of my skin.Overall, I liked the serum, the issues I had were simply user error and not the fault of the product. The price point is reasonable at $24 for 30ml/1.01 ounces. I will definitely be keeping this product on hand for help with post blemish marks.

  VT Cosmetics Keeps Delivering and This Serum Is No Exception

  I'm a big fan of VT Cosmetics and use several of their products daily, so adding this azelaic acid ampoule to my routine was seamless and natural. I also use their matching toner pads, and together the 2 work better than either does alone, making it a genuinely effective duo for oily skin.My skin is oily and in my late 30s, with some fine lines I'm always trying to keep in check, and sebum control is something I take seriously, so azelaic acid is a non-negotiable ingredient for me. I've used enough products from premium skincare brands to know when something is actually working versus just feeling nice, and this one is both. My skin looks more balanced and less congested after a couple weeks of use, and the pores around my nose and chin area appear visibly refined.The texture is closer to water than a traditional serum, which initially surprised me, but that lightweight consistency is exactly why it absorbs so quickly and sits so comfortably under everything else. It has no fragrance at all, and it doesn't pill with my other serums or my moisturizer, which for someone layering as many products as I do is not a small thing. There's no stickiness or residue either, just skin that looks calmer and more even by the end of the routine.Overall, this is a well-priced serum that genuinely earns its spot in a multi-step routine, especially if sebum control is a priority for you. I'd recommend it for anyone with oily or combination skin looking for an effective, fragrance-free ampoule that layers well, and if you're already a fan of VT Cosmetics, you'll love this product too.
