  As fun to use as it looks like it would be

  I love VT Cosmetics and have a ton of products from them that I consistently use on the daily. I love their formulations, the uniqueness of their products, and most of all the way my skin has changed and improved since I started using them.The formula itself is unlike anything else I've tried. Suspended inside a typical serum consistency are little cream-filled blobs that you draw up with the dropper, which has a wider tip than you'd find on a standard serum bottle. You can apply it directly from the dropper, or do what I do and squeeze the capsules into the palm of your hand first, mix everything together, then press it into your skin. That process sounds fussy written out but it takes seconds and makes the whole thing super fun and interactive.Living in the desert with aging skin, I need all the hydrating products I can get. This serum is so helpful at keeping my skin hydrated and counteracting dullness. My skin looks noticeably more hydrated and awake after using it consistently especially, and the difference really adds up over days and weeks of use.The serum doesn't have a fragrance, which is nice and helps it to be useful for people with sensitive skin. My skin isn't super sensitive, but I didn't have any irritation with this anyway.I use a lot of products in my daily am & pm skincare routines, including a toner, mutiple serums, a moisturizer, spf, & night cream, so having a product that can fit in with my process seamlessly is important. This one does that well without causing any pilling, including when I use it under makeup and given how many products I stack is always the real test.I also recently got the VT Cosmetics rice ceramide capsule cream that goes with this rice ceramide capsule serum and I love the two of these together. They are so fun to look at and use, and complement one another well.Overall, this is great value and exactly what I've come to expect from VT Cosmetics. I'd recommend them to anyone at any age, but especially if you're dealing with dullness, dryness, or a compromised barrier and want a brand that actually thinks through its formulations.

  Fun to use and very hydrating

  This serum was interesting right from the start with the "rice" beads floating inside. The dropper opening is wider than usual so you can actually get some of the beads out easily.When I apply it, I usually pop a few beads in my palm and mix everything together before putting it on my face. It feels lightweight at first, but it's surprisingly moisturizing.I really like that it's unscented, with just a very slight natural rice-like smell. The texture doesn't feel heavy or sticky, so I expected to need another moisturizer after. For me, this has been hydrating enough on its own for daily use.The level of hydration seems adjustable depending on how many beads you use. I usually go with about 4-5 beads, and that keeps my skin feeling comfortable throughout the day.The only small downside is the extra step of popping and mixing the beads. It can feel like a bit of work when I'm in a rush or just want something quick before bed.Overall, it's a fun and unique serum that feels gentle and works really well.
