FAQs
Can I use a human toothbrush on a dog?
It is not recommended. Human toothbrushes are often too large for small dog mouths and the bristles can be too abrasive, which may damage your pet's delicate gums. A specialized small dog toothbrush is safer and more effective.
What is the best way to introduce my puppy to brushing?
Start slowly by letting your puppy sniff and lick the brush with a little bit of pet-safe toothpaste on it. Once they are comfortable, gently touch their teeth with the brush for a few seconds at a time, gradually increasing the duration as they get used to the sensation.
How often should I brush my small dog's teeth?
Veterinarians generally recommend daily brushing to prevent the buildup of plaque and tartar, which can lead to gum disease and other health issues in small breeds.
