Encourages my cat to eat more

I mixed the Wellness Complete Health Purrfect Duos Chicken and Turkey Entree Pate into my cat's dry food and he was very excited for this one. The pate texture is soft and dense which makes it easy to break apart with a butter knife. The portion size of each half cup is just right for mixing into a single meal. I chop it into small pieces so it blends into the kibble. It takes a little more effort to combine than the cuts in gravy flavors but it still mixes well. I press the pate into the dry food so he cannot pick out only the wet part. The smell is mild and fresh which makes it pleasant to work with. He watches me impatiently while I mix and tries to get his face into the bowl before I finish. He stays at the bowl for a long time and I hear steady crunching which tells me he is eating both parts of the meal. The appearance of the pate looks consistent and smooth. The ingredients start with protein: chicken, chicken broth, chicken liver and chicken hearts. The formula also has carrots, sunflower oil, cranberries, fish oil, flaxseed, taurine and vitamins. I like that it is grain free and made without artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or carrageenan. The duo cups are simple to use. They snap apart cleanly and the foil lifts off without any trouble. Each half is a 1.32 ounce serving so the 12 cup case gives him 24 servings. The current price is $23.88 which comes to $1.00 per serving. I think that is a fair price for a food made with high quality ingredients that helps my skinny cat eat more. These Purrfect Duos have been very effective at encouraging him to eat a larger meal, which was recommended by the Vet since he is underweight. I did not have any freshness or quality issues with this case. My cat enjoyed this flavor as much as the five others he has tried. He had no stomach distress such as diarrhea or gas. I feel confident feeding it to him because it is made in the USA and uses whole food ingredients.

  Very respectable ingredients

These Wellness Complete Pate's have great ingredients. I have 2 cats. one is quite old and the other is fairly young. They both really like the taste of these. I personally like that each container is 1 serving. This makes it easy to just open and set down for them. I can also just dump it in their bowls. It seems to have a good texture and is easy for them to digest. It's not cheap, but the quality ingredients and convenience is well worth it.

  Protein-Rich Grain-Free Chicken & Turkey Cat Food

Being a 5 cat household, it is a challenge to find a food that all 5 of them will eat. Over the years we have done a pretty good job rotating their foods so they won't get tired of any one specific brand or flavor of food. We did some research on the Wellness brand, and we are convinced that the ingredients are probably higher quality than what our cats are used to. Our cats seem to prefer the run-of-the-mill cat foods that have fillers in them. Typically we would only try the premium grain-free foods like Wellness when on special at the local stores because they are very expensive when they are full price. Wellness is one of the grain-free wet food brands that we actually had not tried yet. When we opened the first packet of this Chicken and Turkey Wellness, all 5 cats came running over. I think this was because it was some new smell and the curiosity of the cats just had to see what it was right away. We split the pack onto multiple plates. All of the cats smelled it and didn't know whether to like it or not. Then after about 10 seconds, they dug in and really enjoyed it. They barely came up for air! They completely cleared the plates. They continued to eat until there was nothing left on the plate at all, no crumbs or remnants.I am really impressed with the quality of the Wellness food. It is difficult to make a healthy food that cats actually like to eat. I know most cats prefer the food that has grains and fillers as that is like a junk food for cats. Like I mentioned before, I did do research, and I am confident that the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I will open a different flavor for them every day or two to keep being able to give them some variety. This is a 24 serving pack so the price of $23.72 makes it less than $1 per serving which is a great value. I would recommend this food to all cat owners, especially those who have finicky eaters. The cats will love the succulent look of the gravy. The size of each serving is 1.32 ounces.Title of the item being reviewed:Wellness Complete Health Purrfect Duos, Pate, Adult Wet Cat Food, Natural, Protein-Rich, Grain-Free, 2.64 Ounce, 12 Pack, (Chicken & Turkey Entrée Recipe)
