Smells good, VERY high quality, energy boost
I was pleasantly surprised by Wellness Protein Bowls because the ingredients look appealing, and the food smells much more like a home-cooked meal than typical dog food. The texture also looks appetizing, with visible ingredients that make it feel a little more special than ordinary kibble. My Border Collie and Lab mix absolutely loves it. He gets excited as soon as I open a pouch, and the food disappears from his bowl almost immediately. I've noticed he seems more interested in mealtime, and I enjoy giving him something different, especially as he gets older. I usually mix a portion with his regular kibble rather than serving a full pouch at every meal. The pouches are convenient for portioning, and I refrigerate any leftovers according to the package instructions. I'd recommend introducing it gradually when changing your dog's diet to help them adjust. The biggest downside is the price, particularly for medium and large dogs, since the six-pouch pack doesn't last very long. My dogs love this dog food. They enjoy the taste. It doesn't look processed and looks like real food, like it should be. It has healthy ingredients and great in protein. I mix it with our dry dog food to help it go a long way. It also doesn't need to be refrigerated which is great

Real Pet Food -- as a Topper or a Meal
Like most pet owners these days, I am always on the lookout for something not only healthier, but closer to "real" food than little brown bites of kibble.These Wellness Protein Bowls Adult Wet Dog Food are a great find. They actually contain real food--no weird pieces, no funky odor. You can see the bits of crabnberries and the peas mixed in among actual shredded turkey. I chose to use this as a topper mixed with some homemade dog food, since my pup can be a bit fussy. And he loved it.I did not notice him being gassy afterward as I have with other similar products.My dog is kind of a big guy, a cattle dog bully mix, so one of these six-ounce pouches on their own would probably not be enough for him. So whether or not it's a great value for the money would depend on the size of your pup. As a topper for mine, a pouch will last a couple of meals, and since you only get six pouches in a box, that could really add up. For smaller pups who may get a meal or two out of each pouch, it may prove a better value.Either way, if we want better quality food for our pets, we either have to make it ourselves--or pay more. So I think this is a great choice either way.
