FAQs
What cable do I need for RGB SNES to PVM?
To connect an RGB-modded or native RGB Super Nintendo to a professional Sony PVM monitor, you need a console-specific male RGB SCART cable paired with a female Euro SCART to 4 BNC breakout adapter like this one. This configuration splits the video into discrete Red, Green, Blue, and Sync lines for the display. Always ensure your setup uses the Euro SCART standard rather than the Japanese JP21 pinout to avoid incorrect colors.
Does Sega Saturn output RGB?
Yes, the Sega Saturn natively outputs high-quality RGB analog video signals directly from its multi-out port. Utilizing a high-grade SCART cable connected to a BNC breakout adapter allows you to bypass noisy composite signals entirely. This results in incredibly sharp sprites, vibrant color depth, and minimal color bleeding on compatible professional CRT monitors.
Can I use this cable with an Extron switcher or upscaler?
Yes, this adapter is fully compatible with Extron matrix switchers and various video upscalers that accept standard BNC inputs. The female SCART end acts as a convenient terminal point for your console routing, making it easy to swap between systems without wearing out the ports on your broadcast equipment.
Is this XTPTFABS cable an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic XTPTFABS product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources these specialized retro gaming components directly from authorized US suppliers to ensure Indian gaming collectors receive genuine, high-quality shielding components that meet strict international AV standards.
What is the total length of this breakout wiring harness?
This cable measures approximately 32 inches in length, providing ample slack to comfortably route signals from your console's primary SCART cable around the back of heavy CRT televisions or deep equipment racks. This layout keeps your gaming station clean and organized.
