FAQs
Is a soprano recorder the same as a descant recorder?
Yes, a soprano recorder is commonly referred to as a descant recorder in British and international music terminology. Both terms describe the same high-pitched woodwind instrument tuned in the key of C.
Can a 7-year-old play this recorder?
Yes, this instrument is specifically designed for children and beginners starting around age 4 and up. Its lightweight build and ergonomic size make it easy for small hands to hold and play comfortably.
How do you clean a descant recorder?
Detach the instrument into its three separate sections after playing. Insert the included cleaning rod wrapped with a soft cloth through each piece to absorb any trapped moisture, and let the parts air dry completely before packing them away.
