good for carrying to vacation home
i keep a spare in my travel bag for when we visit our weekend farmhouse where the soundbar is kept. since it works via simple infrared and needs no programming, i just pop it out of the bag, put in standard aaa batteries, and it operates the nakamichi ultra system without any fuss. very convenient.

works smoothly for the kids tv room
got this because my younger brother kept dropping and breaking the original remote while playing games near the home theater. plugged in two new batteries and it started working right away without needing any codes or pairing hassle. really saved me a headache and the kids can control the volume and input easily now.
