  WOW! These should be called miracle bites!

  We have a new rescue little terrier mix pup about 4 months old. We discovered he has what we think is pretty bad separation anxiety. ( Still going to get him checked by a vet and trainer tho). None of our other dogs ever had this issue so new to us. I have multiple chronic illnesses so I sleep in after my husband leaves for work. Well not with our new dog!😫🙉 He would howl, whiiiine, bark, yip until I came down. And if we left, or I was upstairs and he was downstairs; he chewed up my husband's new Birkenstocks, our fairly new couch, and our cabinet in our rental kitchen. He did the same when we put him in his crate in our room for bedtime/sleep. No ear plugs would touch that high pitched howl, lol. A lot for a little 8 pound guy. I have worked as an assistant dog trainer so I know a little about this issue, albeit not a ton. We did the "don't make a fuss when leaving/returning to house", desensitizing with pretending to leave, not coddling him when he's being crazy(shunning), feeding him in his crate, tons of exercise, giving him lots of kongs with yummy treats inside, even purchased DogTv app( which is awesome BTW!). But he would constantly bark at the dogs on it. So, in desperation I looked for something to help in the meantime until we can get him professionally checked out. Saw these and thought, skeptically, I would try them. We started with 1/2 in the morning and now he gets one in the morning. The change has been nothing short of a miracle!! The chewing has stopped, he no longer gets all worked up with DogTv. He just watches it with interest. No more whining, yipping, barking. My dear hubby accidentally gave him 2 one morning! But the dear pup was fine. Just VERY relaxed. I love how these dont "drug" them. They just literally do what they say. CALM them. Obviously I want to get to the root cause, and it's not sustainable to use these daily for the rest of his life. But through this puppy stage and socialization phase these are in his daily routine. And I will ALWAYS keep them on hand for unknown situations like flying, crowds, new stimuli, fireworks, thunder, etc. Thank you Zesty Paws for making an amazing product that saved our sleep, shoes, furniture, and sanity!!! Highly recommend!! 👏👍

  Awesome product

  This item works. When storms come in my dogs are scared I give them one of these and it calms them down.

  Awesome

  Review - These treats are awesome and my dog loves them. They also last a really long time (if you have a small dog).Disclaimer - I am not sure if the treats themselves work. My dog was having some serious separation anxiety a few months back (whining, barking, yelping, peeing/pooping, chewing, etc.). I made it my goal to rid him of this behavior so I got rid of every single thing that belonged to him, except his collar. He was also moving with me to a new house so even the environment changed for him. I knew that this could be stressful for him, but I also knew that if I kept anything he associated with being left alone, he would slip back into that behavior. So I threw everything out and got him all new stuff. A playpen instead of his old kennel, new food and water dishes, new bed and blankets, new treats, I also got him new, better food that I eased him into. I also got him a puzzle toy to play with at different times in the day and whenever I'd leave I would put some really good stuff in there. Stuff he didn't normally get. That way he would associate me leaving with something good and he'd be entertained as I left the house. I also gave him half a Calming Bites treat in the morning and at night. Note that I started giving him these treats about two weeks before completely changing his world. Whenever I'd leave I wouldn't say goodbye to him. This part was hard but it really helped with his anxiety because I wasn't setting him up for disappointment by petting him and giving him attention and then suddenly leaving for hours. I also got a camera to watch him while I was at work. I've caught him doing some questionable things, but he has stopped ALL of the bad behaviors! There were other things that I did and purchased for him to help with his anxiety, but what's most important is consistency. Hopefully, this gave you some ideas to try if you are dealing with similar issues.

  Helps take the edge off of my pooch!

  The never ending quest is to find the perfect calming supplement that will help my dog through thunderstorms. I have tried many of them and I think this one may work the best so far. I do have to give it to her about an hour in advance of the stressful event and sometimes I give her an extra chew when needed. The chews are not a cure but it does help to take the edge off. I mostly notice it with her stress habit of digging at the floor being far less when she is on them. :)
