How to use
- Pull the old wick up through the chimney using pliers until a clean, unburned section appears.
- Cut the degraded, black carbon portion off even with the top of the chimney.
- Straighten the newly exposed wick section inside the chimney.
- To completely replace a worn out wick, remove the lighter insert from the case, unscrew the flint spring, remove the felt pad, and take out the packing material.
- Insert the new wick downward through the chimney or up through the bottom of the insert, weave it in an S pattern between the cotton packing layers, reassemble the felt pad and spring, then trim even with the chimney top.
