FAQs
Does ReptiSun T5 provide enough UVB?
Yes, the High Output T5 design provides excellent and effective UVB penetration at greater distances. It is specifically engineered for larger and taller reptile enclosures to ensure your pets receive adequate UV exposure.
What is a ReptiSun T5 hood used for?
It is a specialized reptile lighting fixture used to house high-output linear fluorescent lamps. It sits atop terrariums to safely provide necessary UVA, UVB, and visible full-spectrum light to reptiles.
Does ReptiSun 5.0 provide heat?
No, this linear fluorescent lamp is designed specifically for UV and visible light output. It does not emit therapeutic basking heat, so you will still need a separate heat source if your reptile requires one.
Is this Zoo Med product authentic and available in India?
Yes, it is fully available on Dropy India. We source this premium reptile lighting system directly from the USA to guarantee you receive a one hundred percent genuine and authentic imported product.
What is the T5 UVB light for bearded dragons?
While bearded dragons typically require a stronger ten point zero lamp due to their desert habitat, a five point zero lamp is ideal for tropical or Ferguson zone two reptiles, or for bearded dragons in smaller grow-out tanks.
