FAQs
Is Zoo Med White Hermit Crab Sand safe for hermit crabs?
Yes, it is a safe, all-natural calcium carbonate substrate. It contains no artificial dyes or paints, making it suitable for creating a non-toxic environment that encourages natural burrowing behaviors.
How much sand do I need for one hermit crab?
You should aim for a depth of at least 2 to 3 inches of substrate in your enclosure. This allows your hermit crab enough space to dig and fully submerge itself for molting.
Can a hermit crab live in a 5 gallon tank?
While a 5 gallon tank can work for a very small setup, it is often recommended to use a larger enclosure to provide adequate space for a proper depth of substrate, hiding spots, and water bowls to ensure the health of your crab.
Are these Dropy products authentic USA imports?
