    Decent for an inside antenna

Works great for my situation. Way better than the cheap rectangle antennas that you stick on a window. I suspended mine on a piece of string from a small hook above the window, and hide behind a curtain.

    Superb antenna

This works great. I mounted it high on the wall in the garage, since the splitters for my house are located in the garage. I'm pulling in over 60 channels now.

    Wonderful!

This antenna is great! My old flat antenna could only pickup around 35 channels and I had issues with a weak signal. With this antenna I was able to get over 86 channels and almost every channel has a strong stable signal. Best money I ever spent!

The BEST antenna in price range BY FAR

I moved from a house with an attic antenna to an apartment just over a year ago, which meant I needed an antenna to be installed indoors. Over time, I tested about 10 different antennas ranging in price from $45 to $110, including another model from the same brand. Out of all of them, only two flat, amplified antennas managed to pick up VHF stations - and that was only after I swapped out the included cable for an RG-6. Even then, the picture quality was inconsistent, making them unreliable. At best, those antennas pulled in around 63 stations from New York City (I'm in New Jersey, about 28 miles away). The VHS stations I wanted were WABC and the CW. I was testing using both a Tablo and Recast. Then I tried the ClearStream MAX-V. Using an RG-6 cable I purchased separately, it initially brought in a mid-range number of stations. But after adding an amplifier, the results completely changed - the signal quality became clear and stable, and I was able to receive VHF stations along with many others. Initially I had it set up mounted to a wall near a window - where it picked up 70 stations. I was very satisfied with this as I was now able to watch the local VHS stations. But the results encouraged me to push the limits. I placed the antenna on a mounting pole (left over from my old attic antenna) and held it up in various places looking for the best signal. This ended up being very close to where it was wall mounted. With the mounting pole I affixed the antenna to the ceiling. This setup picked up 85 stations in total, far more than any other antenna I tested (the next best being 63).While not all 85 stations are necessarily watchable (the same id the case with any antenna), the ClearStream MAX-V consistently delivers all the major networks and the extra channels I actually use with excellent clarity. It is, by far the best antenna I've tried - highly recommended (when used an amplifier and RG-6).A last note: While I have it ceiling mounted, when it was mounted to the wall it was still clearly the best antenna

FAQs

Is the ClearStream 4MAX UHF VHF overkill for my setup?

It depends on your distance from the local broadcast towers and potential obstructions. While the 4MAX offers extreme range, the ClearStream MAX-V provides a highly capable sixty-mile range that is perfectly balanced for most suburban and urban environments without overloading your receiver signal.

Can this antenna be painted to match my home decor?

Yes, you can paint the plastic housing of the antenna to match your interior walls or exterior siding. Ensure you use a non-metallic spray paint, as metallic particles will interfere with the digital signal reception.

Does this package include the coaxial cable needed for connection?

This specific variant includes the antenna unit, the adjustable mounting hardware, and the exclusive steel wall bracket. A separate seventy-five-Ohm coaxial cable of your preferred length is required to complete the connection to your television setup.
