  Foam not needed

  BANILA CO is already responsible for my favorite cleansing balm of all time, so adding their milk cleanser to my rotation felt right. I'd also been watching milky cleansers take over the skincare space and wondering if foam was actually the move I thought it was. Short answer: I was wrong.The texture comes out of the pump as a creamy, lotion-like milk, but not as thick. It doesn't foam when you work it in, which felt strange at first for someone whose skincare autopilot had always assumed suds meant clean.You apply it to dry hands and dry skin, massage for about a minute, and rinse with lukewarm water. It takes a beat longer to fully rinse than a foaming cleanser, but the way my skin feels after is why I keep going back.It handles daily sunscreen and light makeup without any harsh rubbing. There's none of that tight, stripped feeling afterward that I get from stronger cleansers. My large pores don't feel congested after using it, which was a concern I had about a formula this creamy.The oat and rice proteins are doing something real here, and my skin barrier feels noticeably calmer.The centella asiatica is a particularly good fit for me since I go heavy on actives. My skin sometimes just needs to be talked down from the edge. Being sulfate-free, it's not dismantling my moisture barrier every time I use it, which has been the problem with stronger cleansers I've tried.The scent is mild and doesn't linger past rinsing, so it doesn't compete with whatever I layer on next. My skin doesn't feel stripped or tight when I finish, and everything I apply after goes on smoothly without pilling.For oily skin especially, I always assumed you needed a foaming cleanser to actually feel clean. This has proven that wrong.Being almost 40 with fine lines and oily skin, protecting my skin barrier has become something I think about constantly. A cleanser that doesn't strip me down before I rebuild with serums is just a smarter approach. I'm a little annoyed it took me this long to figure that out.It's vegan and PEG-free, which is something I look for more and more as I pay attention to what I'm putting on my face.Overall, this is excellent value for a gentle cleanser that is effective and protects your skin while it cleans it. I'd recommend it for anyone rethinking their cleanser routine, especially if you've been wondering whether a non-foaming option could actually get your face clean.

  Gentle cleanser

  This Banila cleansing milk is a gentle cleanser. It is effective at cleaning my face without making it feel overly stripped or sensitive, although I do prefer to follow it up with a moisturizer. The fragrance is very mildly sweet. It almost looks like a liquidy glue when it comes out of the bottle. It's white and smooth. It's more of a creamy, milky cleanser than one that foams up a lot. It's $18.99 at time of review, which I think is a decent value.   Such care put into the packaging and the product itself

  I have loved Banila brand sense of friend recommended their makeup remover years ago. It was such an inexpensive but effective product that it changed how I looked at removing my makeup. So I was super excited to try their calming cleansing milk. Like the other products I've used from Banila, this cleansing milk impressed me right out of the box with the way that they package it for safe shipping. There is a little piece of Styrofoam on the nozzle and there is a little lock on the neck so that the pump cannot get engaged and squirt out the product during shipping if the box gets crushed. If a company puts that level of care into how they package their product, they're very proud of it and just imagine the care they put into the actual product itself. This cleansing milk is exactly that sort of thoughtful product. It has a light citrus scent it lathers up nicely on your face and rinses cleanly. My skin was left feeling more supple, refreshed and hydrated. Not dry like a lot of cleansers can do. It is an excellent follow-up product to any of their makeup remover products. And you certainly can't beat the value at $13. Love!

  Banila Co Does It Again

  Normally $18.99, but on sale for only $13 and some change, as I type this review, this gentle cleanser is a winner I would definitely recommend. Here is what I loved: - easy to use packaging, with a simple pump design that comes with a handy spacer should you need to travel with it to avoid spilling out - little to no scent/scent is subtle - gentle formula that will not irritate your skin - generous bottle size that is sure to last you a long time - the formula is gentle enough to not dry your skin out/I did not experience drying - my skin appeared radiant/glowy after usage - good price especially when on sale - effectively removed excess dirt for refreshed skin All in all a good, gentle milk cleanser. With Banila Co's positive reputation they continue to successfully create reliable and likeable products I can stand behind. I would recommend this cleanser.
