FAQs
What is a metal spudger used for?
A metal spudger is primarily used to pry open tightly sealed electronic casings, lift delicate internal components, and separate touchscreens or displays from their frames. Its high strength and thin profile allow it to scrape away tough industrial adhesives and navigate tight gaps where plastic tools might bend or snap.
Are spudgers good for opening phones?
Yes, spudgers are excellent tools for opening smartphones, especially modern devices that rely heavily on dense internal clips and strong adhesives. However, because metal spudgers are highly rigid, they must be used with care to avoid scratching internal metal pieces or denting external aluminum and plastic frames.
