  Hydrating foam to water serum

  This Dr. Althea ABC glow whipped serum is a wonderful addition to my skin care routine. I cleanse, use toner, this serum and finish with Dr. Althea 345 relief cream moisturizer. I was already using this brand so I was confident that the serum would be just as good in terms of quality and effectiveness. I was getting ready the other day when I got side tracked after applying the serum. I put on my makeup and then realized I hadn't put moisturizer on but it was not an issue at all. My face didn't feel dry and the makeup wasn't cakey. In fact, I noticed that my makeup stays longer after using this serum. I have sensitive skin so I like that this is unscented and non-sticky. The foam to water formula is unique. I only needed one pump to cover my face. If you're looking for a fairly priced serum that easily absorbs, moisturizes your skin and helps with makeup adhesion, this product will not disappoint.

  My new favorite makeup primer

  Pros: I've had good experiences with this brand, and this foam toner is a really nice addition to my routine. I actually use it as a primer step before makeup, and it works surprisingly well in that role. The foam texture is lightweight, and a little goes a long way, so one bottle should last quite a while. It does feel slightly sticky at first, but that ends up being a benefit because it creates a smooth, matte base that helps foundation and concealer adhere better and look more seamless. I also like putting a tiny bit on my makeup sponge it helps blend everything out and reduces any cakey appearance. It's gentle on the skin too, and I didn't experience any irritation or breakouts, which is always a plus. Cons: The initial sticky feeling might not be for everyone, especially if you're expecting a more traditional toner texture. It can also get a bit too watery if you use too much, so there's a bit of a learning curve to finding the right amount.

  Leaves a very pretty glow

  Dr.Althea ABC Glow Whipped Serum | Bubble Toner with Collagen & Vitamin Tea Wtater | Radiance-Boosting Toner for Instant Hydration & Makeup-Ready Finish | Vegan Korean Skincare, 3.38 Fl Oz INGREDIENTS: collagen water, propanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, c12-14 alketh-12, aqua (water), hydroxyacetophenone, ethylhexylglycerin, butylene glycol, disodium edta, glycerin, coptis japonica root extract, zea mays (corn) kernel extract, hippophae rhamnoides water, allantoin, fructan, glucose, bakuchiol TEXTURE & APPLICATION: This comes out of the pump like a foam cleanser, which feels a little odd for something marketed as a toner/serum. It does dissolve very quickly once I tap it into my skin, so the foam phase is brief, but there is a small learning curve just because the format isn't what I instinctively expect from this type of product. One to two pumps is enough for me to cover my face without it feeling like too much product sitting on top. FINISH & FEEL ON SKIN: Right after application, my skin feels pretty tacky, and that sensation hangs around for a bit. That said, I really like the glow it gives and how light it feels overall. It's richer than I'd expect from something positioned as a toner, but it doesn't cross over into feeling heavy or oily the way some oil-based serums can. Once it's on, it feels more like a lightweight hydrating layer than a traditional serum or cream. FORMULA & COLLAGEN NOTE: The ingredient list is fairly simple and leans hydrating, with collagen water, humectants, and a few soothing/plant extracts plus bakuchiol tucked near the end. It's advertised as vegan, which I appreciate, but I do wish the brand were clearer about the source of the collagen water specifically. That's not a dealbreaker for using it, but it's something I'd like to see spelled out in the product information. Overall, this feels like a slightly richer-than-toner step that adds glow and hydration without feeling heavy, as long as you don't mind a bit of initial tackiness.

  Amazing and truly a unique textured serum

  This an amazing toner! It's really a foam toner/serum, making application possible without a cotton pad at all. I've never experienced such interesting consistency. The whole experience is so cool. It really does absorb like a dream. This serum left my skin bouncy and dewy and so soft in the morning. It's also light weight so it layers really well underneath your heavier night moisturizer. Because of its foam nature, truly not greasy and I think any skin type can use it. The ingredients are so good. There's bakuchiol, which acts like a retinoid. There's also allantoin, corn and root extracts. It's scent free and non irritating. I found it to be brightening and pretty effective in imparting that extra layer of moisture. I think this is really well priced and I found it so cool. Highly recommend!
