The Dyson Airwrap 1.6 Inch 40mm Long Barrel Attachment in Black and Rose is an essential styling tool upgrade specifically engineered for individuals with longer hair lengths. Utilizing advanced Coanda airflow technology, this attachment allows you to effortlessly create loose, bouncy curls and voluminous waves without subjecting your strands to extreme heat damage.

The innovative re-engineered design features a rotating cool tip, enabling you to switch between clockwise and counter-clockwise styling directions using a single barrel for a more efficient routine. Compatible with all generations of the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler, this attachment draws and wraps hair automatically to provide salon-quality results at home.

  1. Start with freshly washed, damp hair that is about 80 percent dry.
  2. Align and click the 40mm long barrel attachment securely onto your multi-styler base.
  3. Select your desired airflow and heat settings.
  4. Take a small section of hair and bring the barrel close to the ends, letting the Coanda airflow automatically wrap your hair.
  5. Hold in place until dry, activate the cold shot to set the curl, and gently release.

    Great for longer hair

    Great addition to my fiancé's Dyson airwrap, she loves it. For her long hair, the long barrel attachment has made styling a much easier process. Specifically, the longer barrel effortlessly wraps larger sections of her hair. Also noteworthy, when she opts for curls, they come out soft and natural looking. Health wise, using airflow, instead of extreme heat, her hair feels healthy, not dry. Good product value based on barrel effectiveness and healthier process, versus extreme heat alternatives.

    creates lasting soft curls/waves for longer hair; fits Airwrap perfectly

    This attachment fits my Airwrap perfectly! I ordered this one specifically because I have a pretty full lineup of attachments, but the curling barrels I had before give just a bit too tight of a curl for a soft, everyday look. This size is perfect for adding texture and volume without tight curls. I have a medium-long, thick/dense hair type and love how this makes styling easy, especially the rotation feature, meaning I don't have to switch attachments back and forth. I have tried some of the generic attachments, and they're fine, but nothing beats the performance and quality of the actual Dyson parts, and this one convinced me that for any attachments in the future, I'll go straight to the actual Dyson branded ones. This barrel is lightweight enough that it adds very little to my travel case. The rosé color tip doesn't exactly match my Airwrap, but it still looks pretty, and the important part is that it doesn't get super hot and therefore provides heat protection for my fingers without the need to awkwardly wear a glove while styling. Yes, the actual Dyson parts are pricier than the generics, but for the fit, durability, and performance, they are well worth the investment.

    Dyson manufactured accessory

    This is a nice 1.6" barrel for a Dyson Airwrap, in a black/rose color. I didn't have this size barrel and wanted to try it out, so I decided to order it. The barrel is made by Dyson and fits on it perfectly - I'm not sure I could say the same for other Dyson "compatible" accessories from random manufacturers. It works well to give bigger, beachy curls, more so than a standard sized wand. Removing and attaching the barrel is easy to do. I have extensions and color-treated hair, and the barrel - plus the Airwrap itself - works fine for my hair type.
