    Failed after 5 weeks but seller sent replacement asap

    I bought this over 8 months ago and it is still going sturdy in my projection TV (KDF-55E2000). Would obtain again even though this last one didn't last as long as the others.Update 4: 4th bulb replacement only lasted 11 months. I would absolutely obtain another of these to replace my bulb next time (this has lasted longer than the bulb installed by a local Sony Certified Repair Heart, when they took and cleaned out my TV and installed a fresh bulb in the year prior). Buying another one to replace my old one. I'm now replacing the bulb in my Sony projection TV in 3/2020. I work with the TV hours everyday and have had no issues at all. It was incredibly simple to install!I will try to update this post in the future to let you know how long this bulb ends up lasting for me.UPDATE: This bulb ended up lasting 20 months in my TV. I hope that is helpful to others.UPDATE 2: 2nd bulb replacement lasted 40 months in my TV. I'm purchasing again (Jan 2022) to keep this TV going. Replacing it in my Sony projection TV yet again in 5/2020.Update 3: 3rd bulb replacement only lasted almost 11 months in my TV.

    Bulb

    Ever since my factory bulb went out on my Sony 60xbr1 (which lasted 5 years) its been tough to find another one that lasts even half the life of that one. I'm hoping that this new replacement will last a least a year as properly. I've come to suspect that on a tv this previous (about 7 or 8 years previous) this is as solid as it gets. I've noticed that the bulbs have gotten cheaper also as the years have passed so I guess its a decent trade off at this point. I've bought two since that time. The first lasted about 8-9 months and the previous one lasted a year. Just keeping my fingers crossed on the longevity. The image on most any of the these replacement bulbs are fine though not as radiant as the original but pretty good.
