    Getting Pricey, but still cheaper than a new TV.

    The bulb was properly protected during transit. It was very straightforward to install and it makes the screen of my 20 year former DLP tv look new again.

    20 seconds On Then Off :( 2nd Lamp So Far So Good :)

    I had this lamp replaced under warranty just before the extended warranty I purchased expired. There are a couple of hefty wire spring clamps that keep this lamp in place, and they simply slip off the existing lamp allowing you to easily pull the lamp out and slide the latest replacement lamp into place.Even I can do that and I did and the lamp is working perfectly. This time not under warranty so I bought this lamp ant took a shot at replacing myself. You might wonder about the longevity of these lamps as I did and the tech warned me they are built to only last so long then $$$$$, so I knew then the lamp would not last forever and to keep my great TV going I need to expect a little 'maintenance' along the way just like my cars. Truly effortless to to. I was nervous about it, but the lamp came with COMPLETE, simple-to-read instructions and as it turns out this is a plug and play article. The tech who was delivered to fix my Samsung TV told me the fix (which involved replacing this lamp) would cost me about $400 to have done on my own! That was a couple of years ago and this lamp died as effectively.

    the lamp came the morning after I placed an order for it and was packaged incredibly effectively. Will have to return it.6-22-25 UPDATE: The Cooban customer help gets a 5-star rating. Not only did they give me a full refund, they sent me a replacement lamp for free. 6 days after installation it went totally dark. Within days, it got even dimmer. The fresh lamp has been working fine for the 2 weeks since installing it. I installed it into my WD-73837 easily. It was not as vivid as other lamps that I have installed over the years. It is not as bright as the OEM lamps, but for the price it is a good deal.
