    Ok

A few days ago the lamp in my Samsung HL-S5687W DLP TV suddenly went very dim. My plan was to use the generic lamp as a stopgap measure until the OEM version showed up a a handful of days later. In summary: a solid item at a very inexpensive price, with nice shipping options, shipped and delivered on time as promised. Since expedited shipping was not an option for the OEM version I also then placed an order for this generic replacement unit, for which expedited shipping WAS available (and was also on Dropy Prime). Immensely recommended ! The generic lamp arrived the next day, as promised, was (relatively) easy to install and functions remarkably well. At first I bought online an OEM version of this lamp via Dropy. My plan now is to leave the generic lamp in the TV until I need to replace it.
