  1. Perform a skin allergy test forty eight hours before use.
  2. Apply to dry, unwashed hair.
  3. Put on gloves, squeeze colorant into the developer bottle, and shake vigorously.
  4. Start applying color at the roots, then work through the lengths to the tips.
  5. Leave the formula on for twenty five minutes, or thirty minutes if you have resistant gray hair.

    No Resorcinol!!! Great product.

    The only OTC color without Recorcinol which has been shown to cause hair loss. Since using this brand my hair loss has been reduced considerably. Plus it works very well. My hair is soft. Color great. Covers grey.

    Garnier Nutrisse 40 Dark Brown (Dark Chocolate) has become one of my favorite at-home hair dyes because it's affordable, easy to use, and gives me beautiful results. The scent is relatively mild compared with some other box dyes, which makes the 25-minute processing time much more comfortable. I have long, fine hair with quite a bit of grey, and I've been really pleased with the coverage. The color looks rich and natural, blends well with my original shade, and gives the greys a subtle highlighted effect rather than leaving them looking flat. Application is also straightforward because the thick cream stays in place without dripping everywhere, so I can work it through my roots quickly without a complicated process.
