    Best Olive Oil Ever

    This is the best olive oil I've ever tasted. It's fresh, nutty and fruity, and mild - adds to the flavor of all foods, without overwhelming them. The bottle is very tall, with an open neck, so I just pour a little bit of the oil into a separate dispensing bottle and shake out the amount I need for bread or added oomph to recipes (you can pour larger amounts directly from the bottle for cooking, salad dressings, etc.). It's just superb.

    Great Olive Oil choice!

    I must say, this ain't cheap, but the fact that it's so pure, fresh and with a very unique taste, I am very satisfied that my new Olive Oil is some of the best quality I can buy. Knowing now about poor quality oils and what they actually do when consumed, I will gladly pay more...my health is worth it.

    I just received my second bottle of this olive oil

    Apparently there was a misprint on the bottle of the date stamp, which said it was manufactured in July, 2015 (the bottle was ordered on September 29th, 2016). I spoke with a representative of MaryRuth and he assured me that this was a misprint on a very small percentage of recent bottles and did not reflect the actual date of manufacture.As a result of them contacting me in a timely manner and taking corrective actions, I have changed this review to five stars. I have not yet opened the second bottle, but the first bottle (which had a correct and reasonable date of manufacture sticker) was delicious, definitely five star quality, and by far the best olive oil among the gourmet olive oils I've tried to date.Not only does it taste good, including producing the slight burning sensation in the back of the throat if sipped straight up like a quality olive oil should, but it also has a higher viscosity making it far less runny than for example2016 GOLD Medal Winner PJ KABOS 16.9Floz Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 100% FRESH olive oil born in Ancient Olympia vicinity, KORONEIKI Variety (16.9Fl Oz Tin, Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Greece)which I found to be almost like water in its viscosity, although it was OK taste-wise (and in the throat burning department).Combined with an overall better taste than PJ Kabos, I found the MaryRuth olive oil far more appealing when used on bread and pasta (and pretty much anything else). This is in part due to its darker, richer, and thicker (and less filtered) look than the PJ Kabos.In all, I am very pleased with this product and will continue to purchase it in the future.
