    Tough To Swallow...Literally

    I have used many Reishi mushroom products but this is the first liquid that I have tried. This product needs to be refrigerated. I usually forget to take it because it's in the refrigerator. The dosage is a full tablespoon and the liquid is really thick, see picture. I found it so thick that I didn't care for taking it straight. The taste starts off bitter because of the mushrooms. I then taste the flavoring of caramel pecan but it ends a little bitter. The syrup melted into hot coffee and would be fine in a similar tasting smoothie. I was even thinking about topping a latte with this syrup. I feel the tablespoon is a large dose of a thick syrup and there are only 15 servings per bottle. I understand that my body may absorb the liposomal better than the powder form but I find that I forget to take it because it's in the fridge or that I don't take it because it's not as easy as just taking a capsule. I think it's a good product for people who find capsules difficult to swallow or those people that can get into a routine to take it. I did not notice any adverse reactions to taking this product and I would recommend it to others. I have used other MaryRuth's products and have not had any issues with quality.
