FAQs
What is the difference between P5 and T5 pentalobe screwdriver?
The primary difference lies in the shape of the driver tip. A P5 driver is a five-pointed star shape designed specifically for external Apple casing security screws, whereas a T5 is a six-pointed Torx driver used for internal components like logic boards and trackpads.
What is a P2 pentalobe screwdriver?
A P2 pentalobe screwdriver is a specialized tool with a 0.8 mm five-pointed star tip. It is exclusively used to remove the two security screws found on the bottom edge near the charging port of all modern iPhone models.
What size Pentalobe screwdriver for MacBook Pro?
Most modern MacBook Pro laptops with Retina displays require a 1.2 mm P5 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the bottom case screws. Certain older models, such as the mid-2009 unibody version, may require a 1.5 mm P6 driver for internal battery removal.
