I was really pleasantly surprised by this sheet mask! I do love Korean made beauty items, and usually like Rael products, but face masks can be hit or miss.K beauty in the US has recently really been getting on the biocellulose bandwagon, and they can have issues. This one is a real stand out positive in that market in my opinion.Pros: Firstly, it is calming, it is non irritating ( I have hormonal, rosacea prone pregnancy skin right now), and while not overly 'cryo' cooling (it's not Dr. Jart), it's pleasant feeling. I really loved the patterned feature on the skin side of the mask. I thought that might just be gimicky, but in reality it DID help keep everything from sliding, which is fantastic, as that's a common downfall of biocellulose. They're often heavier and require you to lay down at least until it dries enough to stick. This mask was not like that. I was able to smack that puppy on, and go clean the kitchen for an hour, no adjustments needed. I really enjoyed that it had all the super hydrating properties of say, the Biodance cellulose masks, but did not require 3-4 hours to dry. It was translucent in 1 hour. Skin looked very happy, plump and calm afterwards. It was like everything you love about the 3-4 overnight masks, but faster. For me, that's huge.Cons: As one reviewer mentioned, they do not fit a western bone structure particularly well (although it's not terrible, you still get full coverage with some adjustments), you may need to "fix" them. I have a petite face, but often find I need to cut Korean masks alongside my nose (from the side of the nose piece to the opening for the orbital bone) after I've put it on, for best adhesion. If that leaves you with any gaps alongside your nose area, use the eye-hole pieces, they'll stick just fine and you've got a custom fit. Honestly, it's no biggie. Kind of to be expected that there's going to be facial structural differences between most Caucasians and most Asians.Overall, this was a really solid product, and I'm happy I had the chance to try it, and I'll likely end up buying some on my own dime in the future. They're currently $18 for a 4 pack, which is not bad at all considering the general market for them, and how you really only need to use them once every 10 days or so. They again, compare very favorably with similar biodance or medicube products, are faster to use, and a few bucks cheaper.If you're in the market for a basic, soothing, and super hydrating biocellulose mask that's got a faster turnaround time and better price than many of its competitors, this is the one. Go for it.

There are few things I love more than a sheet mask. Just the act of using them is so important to my self care routine.These are really moisturizing and make my skin feel so incredibly nice. They are a bit on the pricey side, so I only like to use them about once a week and I usey cheaper sheet masks on other nights of the week (what can I say, I'm a daily sheet masker lol).These are supposed to be hydrating and smoothing, and I think they are super effective at both of these things. Especially because I started tret recently, so the extra hydration is so nice to have.I'll be buying more and using them when I feel like I need a little bit of a boost and feeling kind of dull.

Rael Beauty Cryo + Soothing Hydrogel Mask - Cooling CryoTherapy for Refreshed and Hydrated SkinI used this mask last night after showering. My face was feeling pretty dry and I remembered that this was one of my new products. I put my hair up, and applied a healthy amount of toner to my face to ready it the mask. While the mask instructions instruct to apply toner and/or serum - I'm not sure you need it for grip because the mask is made with an anti-slip, embossed side that just wraps right to your skin and stays.I first saw this embossing on different masks and I didn't like the fact the mask weren't totally smooth like most hydrogel masks, but after using a few of them, I realized it's purposed.These masks fit really great. There isn't any annoying flap hanging off the chin, everything just soothes right across your face. When I laid the top half on next, I just focused it around my eyes, and everything smoothed down under my eyes, onto my nose, and across my forehead. It just fits!I went on with my post shower life, I put on pj's, made dinner, watched tv. The mask stayed put through all of that. It felt really cool the whole time too. Not chilly, but just cool. It said on the package to wear it for 30 minutes. I see here 30-60 minutes.I was thrilled to see just 30 minutes on a hydrogel mask. I wondered, could my face really absorb everything in a hydrogel mask in 30 minutes? Because this is generally a 4 hours of the day or overnight thing. However, I am at that age where my skin needs it and I am lucky enough to have access to these things, so I do it.I did indeed absorb the 36 grams of concentrated serum from this hydrogel mask in 30 minutes! My face looked a bit plumped from it, but it was uneven, you could see visible lines from where the mask didn't touch, like close in around my eyes, or oddly plumper where it overlapped the top and bottom in the middle of my cheek. This is of course a temporary effect, and I used it at night anyway and just shows that yes, my skin did take in the moisturizing ingredients.The key things in the serum are peptides, cross-linked hyaluronic acid, and mushroom extract. It also has red marine algae, glycerin, shea butter, glucomannan, allantoin, and other helper ingredients.It was a nice, quick hydration mask. I think it's great for how I used it - for an evening at home when I don't have four hours, but want a boost to my skin. It wasn't my favorite, but it was good for what it is. The price of $18.99 for four specialized K-Beauty masks seems like a fair value. I would be more inclined to want to try the Glutathione masks if given a chance to choose between Rael's masks. I am happy to know that they fit so well, that they stay on so well, and that the serum absorbs so quickly. All of this makes the product five stars for me.

I've been trying various face masks lately and this is one of my favorites! The Rael Face Masks come in the prettiest iridescent blue packaging. Each packet contains a generous amount of liquid to cover the mask and still have a lot left over. I used the leftover liquid for my neck and arms. The mask itself comes in two pieces and is easy to apply. You have to wash your face first because oily skin can keep it from sticking. The directions say to put the textured side on the skin for a good grip. The mask parts are very slippery, but hold well once you slide them into place. I was standing and sitting the entire time I used the mask (one hour) and it never slipped off once. I didn't have to lie down to keep it on either.The mask works well! It had a cooling effect as soon as I applied it to my face. There was not a scent that I noticed. I would be fine with it whether or not it was scented, anyway. The gel was slippery and confusing at first. You have to pop out the eye and mouth holes if you want to see or talk. The gel itself was super malleable and I could mold it to fit all the curves in my face. I just had to hold it firmly for the first minute, but then it had no problem sticking. The longer it's left on the skin, the more secure it becomes. So you can walk around and do things if you need to. When it comes to remove the mask, it's easy to just peel off. My skin did feel moisturized and hydrated. It also felt smooth to the touch. It truly is an effective face mask! Rael is known for its quality products, so I am considering trying their other styles of face masks. I'm in my 40s and sure could use all the help I can get to keep my face looking young!

I've been using Rael products for a long time but have never tried their beauty products before. I have some experience using face masks from other brands so thought I'd try out this Cryo + Soothing Hydrogel Mask. It's very wet and a thicker product than most I've tried, split into two parts for the upper and lower face. The thickness and texture is comparable to a reusable silicone mask (the kind where you have to apply your own serum). It was easy to apply with the textured side against my skin. It fit my forehead well but left some gaps around my nose and overlapped over my cheekbones. It was somewhat small around my eyes and came right up to my lower eyelashes. The lip opening was too small for someone with large lips and covered my top lip. The top half of the mask stayed on well but the bottom kept slipping downward so I laid down while wearing this so that I didn't have to continue adjusting it. By the time I got up two hours later it'd changed from white to clear and I took it off easily as it was still slightly moist. My face seemed brighter and more hydrated than usual. I had no skin irritation. At 40, with creases on my forehead, I need all the help I can get! Overall, it was a good experience and I think this is 4-pack is a good value for $18.99.
