Holy grail eye serum!! This stuff is really a dewy, glowy under-eye serum. Sulwhasoo⁠ is seriously one of my favorite skincare brands ever, and I'm a skincare guru. I'm obsessed with their ingredients, obsessed with their products, and this under-eye serum is probably my favorite thing I've tried.It sits underneath the eyes so beautifully and absorbs so much better than regular eye cream. My normal eye creams always feel like lotion to me where they kind of sit on top of the skin and leave that weird white overcast look under concealer. This is completely different. It's like this watery, dewy serum-gel texture that actually sinks into the skin and makes your under-eyes look like they took a drink of water.If I use this before my nighttime skincare routine and let it sit overnight, I wake up and my eyes look way more refreshed, glowy, and hydrated instead of dry and creasy underneath. And underneath makeup it looks so pretty!! It helps my concealer sit smoother and I notice way less creasing compared to regular eye creams. Especially if you live in a dry climate like I do, this is amazing because my under-eyes get dry fast and this keeps them looking hydrated all day.I also love the cooling ceramic applicator. It feels really refreshing and helps de-puff in the morning. You can tell this is a very high-end Korean skincare product. The ingredients are beautiful too with ginseng, caffeine, peptides, vitamin C derivatives, and all those herbal extracts they're known for. My skin loves this kind of stuff.The only thing is you have to be careful squeezing the tube because sometimes too much comes out at once, and a little goes a long way under the eyes.I use this morning and night because it helps my concealer not crack during the day, and at night it keeps my under-eyes looking dewy and glowy overnight. This is absolutely a holy grail product for me. Easy 5 stars. This is what's up.

I've personally used chilled tea bags and cold spoons for quick de-puffing treatments for decades, so I immediately understood what Sulwhasoo was trying to accomplish with this cooling applicator design.And honestly, it works very well.The ceramic tip feels wonderfully smooth and cooling around the orbital area, almost like giving yourself a tiny eye massage while applying the serum. It makes application quick, clean, and much less messy than many traditional eye creams or gels.One thing I did notice is that the tube itself requires a slightly careful touch when squeezing because the material is somewhat firm. I found it easiest to dispense a very small amount just below the under-eye area first and then use the ceramic tip to smooth and massage it into place.I really like how refreshing this feels throughout the day. I actually keep one in my purse and another in my gym bag because it gives tired eyes a quick little "wake up" effect when needed.What impressed me most is that the eye area genuinely looks more refreshed afterward. The cooling combined with the formula gives the eyes a brighter, more open appearance almost like a subtle mini lift from reducing puffiness around the orbit area.I also noticed a very slight active sensation when first applying it, which I suspect may come from the ginseng complex. This eye serum is very easy to use and doesn't have any weird odors. In fact, it smells quite pleasant. I like that I can unscrew the top and access more product if needed, but it also comes with a handy applicator that makes applying it under my eyes quick and convenient.The scent is subtle and nice without being overpowering. I've experienced no breakouts, itching, or eye irritation, and my eyes don't water after application. The serum absorbs well into my skin and doesn't leave behind a greasy feeling, which is important since I have oily skin and prefer products that don't make it feel even oilier.I've been using this both morning and night and have seen some positive results. My eye area feels refreshed, and my skin looks brighter and less dull.I do have dark circles, though I'm not sure whether they're hereditary or allergy-related since I've had them for as long as I can remember. While this serum hasn't completely eliminated the darkness under my eyes or on my lids, it does make my eyes look fresher and more awake. I'm a big fan of Sulwhasoo but i often end up preferring other products from the AmorePacific (AP) umbrella like IOPE or Mamonde, mostly because I try to minimize silicones in my skincare outside of SPF. In this case, however, the silicone effect is welcome for minimizing fine lines for most people, including me. The combination of caffeine and Vitamin C has always been helpful for my allergy-induced underye circles and puffiness and I'm always in love with the ginseng in all Sulwhasoo products. And, aside from the silicone, this reminds me quite a lot of my favorite high-end natural beauty eye cream that I used to use in the early 2000s that was reformulated out of existence long, long ago and that I still mourn the loss of.I've tried a lot of products using a ceramic applicator (many of which were attempting to dupe this one), and it is by far my preference now for eye cream. I love how it feels going on and it's so soothing and cooling, especially for allergy-irritated under eyes. Combined with the fact that this is a cooling gel rather than a cream, it makes application feel like a mini eye mask and I really enjoy it.The First Care line is widely considered Sulwhasoo's best line and this is no exception. The gel formula is super lightweight and absorbs really quickly. It's super hydrating and you need very little product, so it's a fair value despite the high pricepoint. It helps depuff if that is an issue for you, and it really will help to mitigate dark circles over time with consistent use. In the meantime, the aforementioned silicone temporarily fills in fine lines and wrinkles and provides an excellent base for makeup/under eye concealer. If you don't wear makeup, this still gives a bit of a "refreshed" look to the under eye all on it's own.Many people recommend the "Temple-to-Temple" approach for applying eye cream to the entire "eye ring" to get the best results. The means that addition to applying under your eyes you also apply to the outer corners, brow bone, and the "11" lines between the eyes at the top of the nose. This is meant to help improve the lifting and firming effects of the cream, while starting from the inner corners of the eyes and work outward towards the temples to aid with lymphatic drainage, which helps reduce puffiness.Because there is no retinol, there is minimal risk of irritation, though it does have the standard added (and delightful) Sulwhasoo fragrance. Also, because this is a Vitamin-C based product, you must wear sunscreen daily (which you should be doing anyway). If you are less than thrilled about that, try Korean and Japanese formulations, which are lightweight and non-suffocating Sunscreen is THE number one best thing you can do to increase your skin's health and improve its appearance!Please note that if you struggle with genetic dark circles or if you have deep eye sockets/hollows, this product may not be as effective for you. While it will help brighten and reduce their appearance, especially when combined with daily sunscreen, it can't eliminate them completely. Bigger results unfortunately require much more invasive procedures in this case.Hope this helps!

If you prefer a very rich balm-like eye cream, this may feel too light on its own. If your dark circles are mostly genetic or structural, expectations need to be realistic. This can improve the look of the area, but it is not going to change bone structure or deep pigmentation overnight.Price-wise, this is definitely a splurge. But for me, it feels worth it because the texture, performance, brand credibility, and overall experience are all there.This is an easy 5 stars for me. It is one of those products I actually look forward to using, and it fits perfectly into my routine.
