Product details

The YONEX Excel Pro Replacement Grip (AC128EX) is a premium synthetic leather handle wrap designed for competitive athletes looking for unmatched control and a firm feel. Engineered from high-quality polyurethane material, this grip provides superior feedback and structural stability during high-intensity rallies, ensuring your racket feels like an extension of your hand.

Its specialized design features a subtly dimpled, perforated surface texture that enhances tactile feedback while helping to minimize hand fatigue. Measuring 25 millimeters wide and 1200 millimeters long with a thickness of 1.6 millimeters, it offers full coverage and easily accommodates standard handles as well as extended-length tennis and badminton rackets.

This replacement grip is engineered to replace the original factory handle wrap entirely, maintaining a precise, secure hold even under heavy use. Ideal for tennis and badminton players who prioritize maximum structural feedback over soft cushioning, it assists in maintaining optimal shot precision and preventing slippage when the match heats up.

Imported from global channels to ensure peak performance standards, it is an essential upgrade for any serious player aiming to elevate their game.

  1. Remove the old replacement grip entirely from the racket handle, ensuring all adhesive residue is cleared.
  2. Start wrapping the new YONEX Excel Pro Replacement Grip from the bottom cap of the handle, pulling it firmly to maintain proper tension.
  3. Overlap each turn slightly by about 2 millimeters, following the pre-cut tapered edge.
  4. Once you reach the top of the handle, cut the excess grip at an angle and secure it firmly using the included finishing tape.

FAQs

How thick is the Yonex synthetic leather Excel Pro replacement grip?

The YONEX Excel Pro replacement grip features a thickness profile of 1.6 millimeters. This specific thickness ensures an extra-firm tactile feel, providing competitive tennis and badminton players with direct racket feedback and maximum handle control.

Is a replacement grip better than an overgrip?

A replacement grip is designed to wrap directly around the wooden or carbon handle core, offering structural firmness and base cushioning. An overgrip is much thinner and goes on top of a replacement grip for quick sweat absorption and added tackiness, so they serve entirely different purposes.

Can you replace the grip on a tennis racket?

Yes, you can easily replace the original grip on a tennis racket once it becomes worn out, compressed, or loses its texture. Using a high-quality option like the YONEX AC128EX restores the factory-level firm feel and handle integrity.

Is this YONEX Excel Pro Grip authentic and available for delivery in India?

Yes, Dropy India sources this product directly from authorized channels in the USA to ensure one hundred percent authenticity. We manage all import processes and offer reliable delivery directly to your doorstep across India.

What is the weight of this replacement grip?
