FAQs

What amplifier are you pairing with the Kicker L7?

For an optimal setup with this vented enclosure, pair your Kicker L7 with a high-quality Class D mono amplifier that matches the subwoofer's RMS power rating at its final impedance. Ensure your amplifier gain and subsonic filters are properly tuned to prevent speaker over-excursion inside the ported box.

Are you looking for the dimensions of a dual-subwoofer setup?

This specific model is a single ten-inch enclosure measuring approximately 16 inches in width and 13.75 inches in height, with an 8.75-inch mounting depth. If you require a dual-subwoofer setup for two square drivers, you would need to look for a dual-chambered square enclosure to provide adequate airspace for both subwoofers.

Would you like tips on tuning your crossover/frequencies for this specific ported box?

When using this vented enclosure, set your amplifier's low-pass filter between 80Hz and 100Hz to keep vocal frequencies out of your bass. Additionally, it is highly recommended to set a subsonic filter around 25Hz to 30Hz to protect your square subwoofer from unloading below the port tuning frequency.
