Product details

The Facmogu 6.5 Inch Gray Carpet Speaker Enclosure is a precision engineered, ported subwoofer box designed specifically for audio enthusiasts looking to build a custom DIY car or truck sound system. Crafted from high density fibreboard, this sturdy speaker box offers a highly stable frequency response and precise music reproduction by minimizing cabinet flexing and resonance.

Its unique ported or vented design effectively reinforces low end frequencies, delivering a more forceful and deeper bass output compared to standard sealed enclosures. To further elevate your audio experience, the enclosure comes pre lined with an adhesive backed, high quality sound absorbing cotton that dampens internal standing waves and dampens unwanted structural vibrations.

Wrapped in a premium charcoal gray automotive carpet, it seamlessly blends with most vehicle interiors while providing a professional, polished finish. Whether you are maximizing limited cabin space or upgrading your existing setup, this compact enclosure ensures your 6.5 inch speaker driver delivers clear, powerful audio exactly the way it was meant to be heard.

  1. Measure your 6.5 inch subwoofer driver to ensure compatibility with the 145mm cutout diameter.
  2. Line the interior with the included self adhesive sound absorbing cotton.
  3. Route your speaker wires from the internal terminals to your subwoofer driver.
  4. Secure the driver into the mounting hole using appropriate mounting screws, then place the compact enclosure under your car seat, in the trunk, or inside your truck cabin.

FAQs

Which enclosure is best for a subwoofer?

A ported or vented enclosure is generally considered best for subwoofers when you want maximum bass output and deeper low-end response. It allows the rear sound waves to escape constructively, which puts less strain on your amplifier compared to sealed boxes.

How much air space does a 6.5 subwoofer need?

Most 6.5 inch subwoofers require a relatively small amount of airspace, typically ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 cubic feet. This compact Facmogu enclosure is engineered precisely to match the air volume requirements of standard 6.5 inch drivers.

Is plywood or MDF better for speaker boxes?

Medium Density Fibreboard and High Density Fibreboard are generally preferred over standard plywood for speaker boxes. They provide a more consistent density and rigidity, which effectively minimizes resonance and distortion for cleaner sound production.

Is this Facmogu speaker enclosure an authentic USA import available in India?

Yes, this is an authentic USA imported product. At Dropy India, we source our inventory directly from verified suppliers in the United States to ensure you receive genuine international audio components.

What are the exact dimensions of this 6.5 inch subwoofer box?

The external dimensions of the enclosure are 190mm x 190mm x 201mm, which translates to approximately 7.48 inches x 7.48 inches x 7.91 inches. The speaker cutout hole diameter measures exactly 145mm or 5.70 inches.
