  Covers my extra glycine needs since I've gotten older.

  This amino acid is produced in a liposomal form . What that means , it is put into a form that your body can assimilate quicker, not having to change the product's form into a form that the body can use. Takes out the Middleman, so to speak. Industrial pesticides have glyphosade, which steals glycerin from out bodies, when we ingest it on our produce or commercial food products, or just plain breath it when we go past farms that spray it or your neighbor's grass. If we increase our glycine intake,then there is plenty to go around. keeping more glycine for your self will also help with sleep, so I take it at night, as it makes me sleepy, and it can work all night. I have found I've been getting an extra hour of good sleep at night when I take 2 caps just before bed. Does not up set my stomach, even when taken just before I lay down.

  Liposomal formulation should increase effectiveness

  I want to start taking daily collagen, glycine, and NAC supplements, so I ordered these "Liposomal Glycine+ Free-Form Amino Acid Phospholipid Complex" capsules from CodeAge.CodeAge has a good reputation in the supplement world. Liposomal technology is used by higher-quality supplement producers to keep their active ingredients fresh, to bypass some digestion, to possibly improve absorption into the bloodstream, and to possibly increase cellular uptake. CodeAge uses sunflower lecithin with phosphatidylcholine to create their liposomes, which they call "Helix Liposomal Delivery".In research studies, glycine and NAC are usually taken together in a 1:1 ratio called glyNAC, which may help the body generate natural glutathione (GSH). I'll be taking a little extra glycine to try to enhance sleep, possibly boost GSH more, and hopefully improve mitochondrial function. Glycine is usually well-tolerated in higher amounts than NAC.I'm planning to try this schedule:Morning = 1 scoop collagen peptidesDinnertime = 2 capsules (1000mg) CodeAge Liposomal Glycine+ with 1 capsule (600mg) NACBedtime = 1 capsule (500 mg) CodeAge Liposomal Glycine+Glycine can be taken continuously because it's an amino acid found naturally in foods. NAC should be cycled, with a week off every month or two.Looking at the product, the white cylindrical bottle was wrapped in a zip-off clear plastic seal. Under the screw-off lid, a foil safety seal with a center vent was glued onto the top of the bottle. The bottle was almost entirely full of white ⅞"-long capsules. The capsules are medium-large but easy to swallow with water. They taste somewhat like paper, mild and unobjectionable. They have a faint scent that reminds me of school, for some reason- a bit like paper and school glue. It's not a bad scent.I will report back if I have any side-effects, but I'm expecting smooth sailing with these.
