  I've been taking collagen for years and have tried products from many different brands, but this was my first time trying a supplement from Codeage.This powder contains 5 types of collagen peptides. The label also includes a full amino acid profile with amounts listed, which is something I rarely see on collagen powders.Each serving contains 9 grams of collagen peptides, which is close to the serving size I've seen in many collagen powders from other brands. Daily collagen amounts for adults are usually in the 2.5 to 15 gram range, so one serving gives a fairly high amount.The label shows 9 g of collagen but 8.2 g of protein, which is normal for collagen supplements. I've seen a similarly small difference across other collagen products as well.This Codeage collagen powder has a rather strong scent, which you notice right after opening the jar. There is also a small measuring scoop inside. I mix it with plain room-temperature water using a teaspoon, and it dissolves completely in under a minute. The water turns slightly yellowish. I take it about 30 minutes before eating. The taste is subtle and pleasant, although just a bit sweeter than I'd like. It doesn't leave an aftertaste, and I haven't had any digestive issues since I started taking it.What I like most about this Codeage collagen is that it doesn't contain unnecessary additives. The ingredient list is simple, and there are no carbohydrates listed in the supplement facts panel. Even though it's flavored, there's no added sugar or extra calories.   I have actually tried a lot of different collagen peptides. I will usually run them through a supplement app as well to get a rating from there. Codeage always ranks high in quality. The difference with this one I think is the flavor, its vanilla flavored. It dissolves completely with no trace except the vanilla taste. I do mix it in my coffee, and it tastes good, super easy to use.I had no negative side effects and I have a pretty sensitive tummy. I am about halfway through the container and the effectiveness is great. My joints don't ache, which is I think the biggest indicator to me that it's working. I do take for aging skin as well, and I have noticed that it has been keeping my skin looking less dry and plumper.This formula includes five types of collagens (I, II, III, V, X), which is great if you're looking for a more complete supplement instead of just bovine collagen.
