I'm extremely happy with this collar

I'm extremely happy with this collar. You can tell the moment you take it out of the package that it is a quality product. The heavy duty chain is very smooth to the touch, and the fabric part is durable and made from quality material as well. It's a tightly woven fabric that does not snag and get fuzzy the way similar looking nylon does with wear. Thin and lays flat, but is strong for my large dog. I'll be buying another one in a different color!

Just what I was looking for.

I was looking for a martingale type of collar for my Smooth Collie. I liked the looks of this collar, and the fact that the main part of the collar was fabric with a chain martingale. The collar is everything I wanted, I choose the medium size for him, his neck is 14 inches and I did not want to be limited by the small collar. It is the perfect size for him. I really like the quality of the materials, the collar is very sturdy in its construction. It is easy to reduce the size of the collar or to make it larger. I really like the reflective trim, it's really bright at night when light hits it. I also like the silicone tag silencer. The only draw back is that Kody has a white ruff and the chain makes the hair gray. That was the reason I was looking for a fabric collar. I am hoping that this is only a temporary problem.

Once again, I got what I paid for

Yes, this was a little pricey compared to other Martindale collars for smallish dogs but one quick look showed me why. Excellant quality, attractive, affective training collar. Our 9 month old has always been a very strong puller. We tried several different types of collars and harnesses, took her to obediance training and did the homework everyday. She is so stubborn, nothing helped in the least until this Martindale arrived. We put it on her and went outside, within a block she was walking calmly at my side. It's obviously well made out of quality materials and will probably last for years.

    Best collar ever. Love it!

Super happy with the quality and the features. Has a choker and non choker leash attach point. You can limit the choking action too. I love how it remains loose on my dogs neck and seems comfortable (chain doesn't pinch fur). The anti slip / quasi choker works great. The weight of the chain makes the collar stay in the same orientation so I don't have to hunt around my pups neck to find the ring. The reflective strip is very bright at night. It's heavy duty without being too heavy or bulky. I would trust this on the strongest dog (anti slip will work great for dogs like pits whose necks are thicker than their heads). For my new puppy has a 13" neck and the large was way too big. Medium fits fine.
