Product details

The Ruffwear Chain Reaction Dog Collar is a premium limited-cinch martingale collar engineered for dogs prone to slipping out of traditional neckwear. Combining durable Tubelok webbing with integrated reflectivity and a short section of stainless steel chain, this escape-proof design delivers gentle, audible feedback during leash training.

Ideal for medium to large dogs with neck sizes ranging from 20 to 26 inches, it offers dual functionality: use the stainless steel O-ring for limited-cinch training control or the anodized aluminum V-ring as a standard everyday collar. Designed for active outdoor adventures and daily walks, it features a separate ID tag attachment point with an included silicone tag silencer to eliminate distracting jingle noise.

Made with high-strength materials, this versatile collar ensures safety, low-light visibility, and comfortable control for your pet.

  1. Adjust the webbing sliders to fit your dog's neck comfortably within the 20 to 26 inch range.
  2. For martingale training and escape prevention, attach your leash directly to the stainless steel O-ring on the chain.
  3. For standard everyday walking and play, clip the leash to the aluminum V-ring.
  4. Attach ID tags to the dedicated separate tag ring using the silicone silencer to reduce noise.
  5. Hand wash with mild detergent and air dry completely.

Tubelok Polyester Webbing (with recycled content), Stainless Steel Chain and O-Ring, Anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum V-Ring, Silicone Tag Silencer.

FAQs

Do vets recommend martingale collars?

Yes, many veterinarians and professional trainers recommend martingale collars for dogs that easily slip out of standard collars, such as sighthounds or fearful dogs. They offer limited-cinch control that prevents escape without choking when fitted correctly.

What are the disadvantages of a martingale collar?

Martingale collars are designed primarily for supervised walking and leash training. They should not be left on an unattended dog during unsupervised off-leash play, as the loose loop or chain could potentially catch on objects or furniture.

Are Ruffwear collars waterproof?

Ruffwear collars are built with weather-resistant polyester webbing and durable metal hardware that handle rain and mud effectively. While water-resistant and quick-drying, they are best air-dried after wet outdoor outings.

Are the Ruffwear products on Dropy India genuine imported items?

Yes, all Ruffwear products available on Dropy India are 100% authentic items sourced directly from the USA. Customers in India receive genuine, high-quality gear for their pets.

How do I measure my dog for the 20 to 26 inch size?

Measure around your dog's neck where a collar naturally rests using a flexible tape measure. If the measurement falls between 20 and 26 inches, this Large size collar will fit comfortably with room for adjustment.

Most orders arrive in 15–20 days: we source each product directly from the USA, check it at our Navi Mumbai warehouse and pack it on video. Items marked Dropy Express ship from our India warehouse and arrive in 3–5 days.
