Product details

The Ruffwear Chain Reaction Dog Collar in Blue Pool is a professional limited-cinch martingale collar engineered for dogs prone to slipping or backing out of traditional collars. Designed for optimal safety during daily walks and training sessions, this escape-proof collar features durable Tubelok webbing woven with integrated reflectivity to ensure high visibility during early morning or nighttime strolls. A short section of stainless steel chain delivers a gentle, audible correction when pulled, encouraging proper leash behavior without harsh pressure.

Ideal for active dogs and pets in training, this versatile collar offers dual leash attachment options. Use the stainless steel O-ring on the chain section for limited-cinch training control, or connect your leash to the anodized aluminum V-ring for everyday walking and play. A dedicated ID tag attachment point with a Quick Ring and an included silicone tag silencer eliminates noisy tag jingling and prevents accidental mis-clipping. Imported directly from the USA, this durable, colorfast pet collar combines safety, comfort, and control for everyday outdoor adventures.

  1. Adjust the collar to fit comfortably around your dog's neck, ensuring you can fit two fingers between the neck and collar.
  2. For limited-cinch training control, attach your leash to the stainless steel O-ring on the chain section.
  3. For standard everyday walking, clip the leash directly to the aluminum V-ring.

Polypropylene Tubelok webbing, stainless steel chain and O-ring, anodized aluminum V-ring, silicone tag silencer.

FAQs

How does a martingale collar prevent a dog from escaping?

A martingale collar tightens to a limited, controlled degree when tension is applied to the leash. This prevents dogs with slender heads or those prone to backing out from slipping out of the collar safely.

Can this collar be used for daily standard walks?

Yes, it features dual attachment points. You can clip your leash to the stainless steel O-ring for martingale training action or to the aluminum V-ring to use it as a standard everyday collar.

Is the reflective material durable for outdoor use?

The collar uses colorfast Tubelok webbing with integrated reflective stitching designed to maintain visibility in low light without fading or wearing off over time.
