Product details

The Ruffwear Chain Reaction Dog Collar is designed specifically for dogs who tend to back out or slip out of traditional collars. Combining durable Tubelok webbing with a short section of stainless steel chain, this martingale-style training collar provides a limited-cinch function that gently tightens to prevent escapes without choking your pet. Perfect for pullers, escape artists, and daily walk training, it offers safe and confident control on every adventure.

Built with integrated reflectivity for early morning or late evening visibility, this collar ensures high safety in low-light conditions. Dual leash attachment points offer maximum versatility: use the stainless steel O-ring on the chain for gentle limited-cinch training control, or connect to the anodized aluminum V-ring for standard daily walks. A separate ID attachment point featuring a silicone tag silencer prevents annoying metal jingling, ensuring quiet walks. Designed for large dogs with neck sizes between 20 and 26 inches, this collar delivers rugged durability and sleek style in vibrant Blue Pool.

  1. Adjust the collar to fit comfortably around your dog's neck, ensuring you can slip two fingers between the collar and the neck.
  2. Connect your leash to the stainless steel O-ring on the chain section for martingale limited-cinch training, or attach to the aluminum V-ring for everyday walks.
  3. Regularly inspect the hardware and webbing for wear.

FAQs

How do you correctly fit a martingale dog collar?

Adjust the collar so that when the martingale loop is relaxed, it fits loosely and comfortably around your dog's neck. When pulled tight by the leash, the two stainless steel ends of the chain should meet without choking or overly compressing the dog's neck, preventing the head from slipping back through.

What is the difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar?

A regular collar stays at a fixed size and can easily slip off if a dog pulls backward. A martingale collar cinches slightly when tension is applied to the leash, stopping the dog from backing out while distributing pressure evenly without choking.

Is the stainless steel chain loud or heavy on the dog?

The chain section is lightweight and engineered specifically for pet comfort. While it produces a subtle audible noise that aids in training corrections, the included silicone silencer reduces unwanted jingling noise from attached ID tags.

Are Ruffwear products bought on Dropy India authentic imported items?

Yes, all Ruffwear products available on Dropy India are authentic, genuine items sourced directly from the USA. Dropy ensures premium quality imports for Indian pet parents seeking high-grade international pet gear.

Can this collar be used for everyday non-training walks?
